Our First Snacktivity Was a Sweet Success!

We had SO much fun with our very first Snacktivity! Every other Wednesday, we’ll be whipping up a different snack with our residents, and we couldn’t think of a sweeter way to kick things off than with mini cupcake decorating! 🧁

Our residents got to decorate their own cupcakes and then choose whether to enjoy their creation right away or save it for later in one of our special Marjorie House Bakery Boxes! 💜

We had so much fun getting creative (and a little messy 😉) and can’t wait to see what our next Snacktivity has in store!

Happy September!🍎🍃

We have a very exciting month ahead at Marjorie House! We’ll be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Salem at the end of the month, and we couldn’t be more excited to be back for another year!

With all the craziness of Camp Marjorie coming to an end, we want to take a moment to give a HUGE thank you to all of our amazing camp counselors! 🏕️

Each and every one of you gave it your all this week and went above and beyond to make Camp Marjorie such a fun, memorable, and meaningful experience for our residents. We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, creativity, and heart you poured into this!

Camp Marjorie Day 5! 🏕️

We wrapped up Camp Marjorie with an amazing day! Residents and staff kicked things off with the MH Talent Show, and our residents had so much fun showing off their talents! 🎤

Then we had some fun with axe throwing led by Heather! Thank you, Heather, for leading such a fun activity! 🪓

And we can’t forget Spirit Week! Day 5 was Wear Purple Day, and everyone showed out in purple! 💜

Camp Marjorie Day 4! 🏕️

We had the BEST day! We kicked things off with ziplining, and judging by the smiles on everyone’s faces, I’d say it was a huge hit! 😄 A huge thank you to Steven for making this amazing experience possible for us!

Then we got our hands dirty with Dirt Babies led by Justin! 🌱 Thank you, Justin, for leading such a fun activity! We absolutely love our adorable little dirt babies and can’t wait to watch them grow! 🪴

And of course, it was Spirit Week Day 4: Camo Day! 🦌
Big thank you to staff for always giving your best during spirt week!

Camp Marjorie Day 3! 🏕️

It just keeps getting better! Today was another fun filled day at Camp Marjorie! 🌲

Residents put their teamwork and Bigfoot skills to the test during a Bigfoot Scavenger Hunt! Congratulations to Karina and Diane for taking first place! 🏆

We also had a wonderful time with Nikki, who led a delicious s’mores activity with our residents! 🍫 Thank you Nikki!

To wrap up the day, we got creative with some beautiful leaf print paintings! 🍂🎨

And of course, we had fun celebrating Spirit Week Day 3: Hiking Day! 🥾🌲 Our staff got into the hiking spirit and made the day even more fun!

What a great day! We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! 💜

Camp Marjorie Day 2! 🏕️✨

Day 2 was another fun filled day at Camp Marjorie! Our residents had so much fun with Olga making beautiful bracelets and adding colorful beads to their wood round necklaces. Thank you, Olga, for leading such a wonderful activity!

Residents also went head to head in a friendly horseshoe competition before wrapping up the day with a fun felt name pennant craft. 🧲🏳️

And of course, our staff joined in on the fun with Spirit Week Day 2: Decades Day!🕺🏻

Camp Marjorie is officially underway! Our residents had a blast tie dying their own tote bags and creating wood-round name necklaces. We also kicked off Spirit Week with a cozy Monday PJ Day for our staff! 💤✨
