Today is a big day for one of our own!

Over the past school year, we’ve had the pleasure of working alongside an amazing Crawford County Career and Technical Center student , Brady who completed his internship with us. Last week, we were honored to attend his Letter of Intent signing and celebrate the exciting future ahead of him.

Today, Brady graduates from high school, and we couldn’t be prouder of all he has accomplished!

We are excited to have him continue with us throughout the summer before he heads off to college this fall. His hard work, positive attitude, and willingness to learn have made him a wonderful addition to our team.

Please join us in congratulating him on his graduation and wishing him all the best on this exciting next chapter! 🎓🎉

What a beautiful day for a lunchtime stroll through town! ☀️

We took a little break to visit some of our favorite local spots. Of course, we couldn’t pass up Waffle Cone Wednesday at Cup n' Spoon 🍦, and we also stopped by to check out MC Micheles LLC beautiful new store!

We love being part of such a wonderful community and supporting the amazing local businesses that make our town so special. ❤️

☀️ Sometimes you just need to step outside and have a little fun!

We love our “Wednesday Well Done” meetings, and yesterday’s was definitely one for the books! There’s nothing better than taking a moment to laugh, recharge, and relieve the stress of a busy day together. 💙

A great team works hard — but also knows how to have fun along the way! 😊

Welcome to this week's HEARTS BEHIND THE HAVEN!

Through these posts, you'll meet the volunteer Board members who are behind-the-scenes of the Haven's Community Drive-Thru Dinners, special events, and many of the daily operations. With the support of our community, the mission of St. James Haven is not only possible, it's happening.

This week we'll meet Kim Adsit, a familiar face within the community, and a powerful force on the Haven's team. Kim was instrumental in bringing our monthly Community Drive-Thru Dinners to life, and continues to support these and other Haven events today. Make sure to say hello to Kim below!

"Kim Adsit is the Business Manager at Vision Source Meadville, a local eye care practice founded by her husband, Dr. Chris Adsit. The practice’s mission is to “Show the Light and Life of Jesus Christ to those around us by meeting their physical needs,” which aligns closely with the mission of St. James Haven.

Kim first connected with St. James Haven in the spring of 2023 through the Grand Leprechaun contest, a local fundraiser where business leaders support area nonprofits. She chose to represent the Haven and helped organize a community drive-thru dinner, which raised just over $4,000. That initial event led to the idea of holding regular donation-supported dinners, and now a homemade meal is served to up to 150 people on the third Thursday of each month.

Kim also serves on the Haven’s fundraising committee and helps plan our annual Sound Off for St. James benefit concert."

Yesterday we tried The Tropical Toucan Açaí for the first time—and wow, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!! 🥣 🍹

🧐Did you know if your office wants to order, you can send it in the day before and they’ll have it ready for pickup at 11:00 the next morning? So convenient! Especially when it’s only 2 blocks from our office 😉
