Mobile Crisis Services are community-based, on-site mental health intervention services in which professional counselors help to de-escalate and stabilize an emergent situation. Getting to oversee this program and build up these much-needed services for Crawford County residents has been a passion project for Program Supervisor, Robin Deeter.

🎥 But the program is rapidly growing and needs additional help! In this interview, Robin explains not only what Mobile Crisis Services provide to the community, but what she is looking for in a crisis worker to join her team.

😮‍💨 The Meadville Medical Center Foundation will be focused on raising funds for CATCH® My Breath, a youth va**ng prevention program used by schools across the country and is recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (🏷️ SAMHSA).

Substance use, including va**ng, has been frequently cited as a major issue among young people in our local area. 🙌 With your support, we can help implement CATCH My Breath in schools throughout Crawford County!

August is Gastroparesis Awareness Month. 😣

Gastroparesis is a GI condition (specifically, a motility disorder, or problems with the muscles and nerves of the digestive tract) that is not well known or understood, but the number of people it affects appears to be rising, according to the International Foundation for Gastrointestinal Disorders- LATAM

Symptoms of gastroparesis include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and discomfort, stomach fullness as well as many others. Gastroparesis is a long-term condition that can impair the quality of life and well-being for patients, and impacts relationships at school, work, and in social interactions with others.

🏥 The Director has a broad range of duties related to nursing care, quality control, fiscal management, and staff development for MMC's surgery units. Effective communication skills between physicians, nurses, personnel, and patients are essential!

🔴 Required: current state nursing license, BSN, and at least 5 years of recent experience in nursing leadership
🔵 Preferred: Master's degree and/or surgical leadership experience
