Registration is now open for the 13th Annual WALKer Run 5K, benefiting Hospice of Crawford County! ๐Ÿ’™

We are incredibly grateful to the Walker Perrine family for continuing this meaningful event in memory of their father and for their steadfast support of our patients and families.

Over the past 12 years, the WALKer Run has raised an amazing $45,350 for our benevolent fund, helping ensure that individuals in our community can receive compassionate, quality end-of-life care regardless of their financial circumstances.

This yearโ€™s race will be held Saturday, November 7, with the event moving to the first Saturday in November going forward.

We hope you will join us for another wonderful year of honoring a special legacy while supporting families in our community.

Register here:

The WALKer Run5K is on Saturday November 7, 2026.

To our incredible community, THANK YOU!๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹

In just three days, you helped raise more than $16,000 for Hospice of Crawford County. We are so proud to be part of a community that gives so generously and cares so deeply. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our mission and helping us care for our neighbors. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹

Tomorrow is the final day of Crawford Gives. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹

These signs represent so much more than where your donation goes. They represent one more birthday celebrated, food on a familyโ€™s table, a final wish fulfilled, precious memories preserved, and compassionate care when a family needs it most.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹

At the end of life, the smallest things can become the things that mean everything. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹

Our hospice team believes with all of our hearts that every life deserves comfort, dignity, love, and a few beautiful moments along the way. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹

When you give during Crawford Gives, you help us create those moments.

Yesterday, our hospice team had the privilege of honoring one of our patients, Jim, a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1970. Senior Master Sergeant, First Sergeant Shawn Strobel of the U.S. Air Force had the honor of pinning Jim in recognition of his dedicated service to our country.

Today, Crawford Gives begins, and we are reminded that service takes many forms.

For our veterans, our neighbors, and every family facing the end-of-life journey, Hospice of Crawford County is there not only with compassionate care, but with the little extras that can mean everything during lifeโ€™s most difficult moments. These extras may include a fulfilled wish, groceries during a difficult month, a special birthday surprise, a keepsake for a child or grandchild, or simply one less worry for a family already carrying so much.

When you give during Crawford Gives, you help us create those moments.

You help us honor lives, support families, and make sure that even in the hardest days, there can still be comfort, dignity, love, and a little bit of joy.

That is what your gift makes possible! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹

This Wednesday, August 19, Crawford Gives begins and your gift to Hospice of Crawford County can touch a familyโ€™s life in ways insurance simply canโ€™t.

At the end of life, sometimes itโ€™s the smallest things that become the biggest things.

๐Ÿ’™Itโ€™s keeping the heat on when a family is struggling to make ends meet.

๐Ÿ’™Itโ€™s putting groceries in the refrigerator when caregiving has made working difficult.

๐Ÿ’™Itโ€™s helping with unexpected moving expenses so a loved one can be cared for safely.

๐Ÿ’™Itโ€™s granting one last wish.

๐Ÿ’™Itโ€™s celebrating one more birthday or anniversary.

๐Ÿ’™Itโ€™s capturing precious family photos that will someday become priceless.

๐Ÿ’™Itโ€™s a recordable book or stuffed animal that lets a child hear a loved oneโ€™s voice long after theyโ€™re gone.

๐Ÿ’™Itโ€™s a holiday meal delivered to a family spending what may be their last Christmas together.

๐Ÿ’™Itโ€™s a โ€œthinking of youโ€ gift card after a loss or for an exhausted caregiver, bereavement books when words are hard to find, and grief support when the rest of the world has moved on.

These are the things your Crawford Gives donations make possible.

Hospice of Crawford County is an award-winning, locally owned, 5-star nonprofit hospice provider serving families throughout Crawford, Forest, Venango and Warren counties, Southern Erie County and Northern Mercer County.

We provide exceptional hospice care but because we are a nonprofit, our mission reaches far beyond what Medicare or insurance will reimburse. We have the privilege of seeing what our patients and families need in some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, and because of the generosity of our community, we are often able to simply say:

โ€œWe can help.โ€

This Wednesday, August 19, please consider giving to Hospice of Crawford County through Crawford Gives.

Your donation isnโ€™t just supporting an organization.

*It may become a warm home.
*A full refrigerator.
*A final wish.
*A treasured photograph.
*One more celebration.
*A child hearing a loved oneโ€™s voice again.
*Or a grieving family realizing they are not alone.

At the end of life, every moment matters. Your gift helps us make those moments a little more beautiful. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ‹

๐Ÿ’™ Financial concerns shouldn't stand in the way of receiving compassionate, expert care during life's most important moments.

One of the things we love most about serving our community at Hospice of Crawford County is that we never quite know what the day will bring! ๐Ÿ’™

Yesterday, it was a pancake party at Rolling Fields. Today, we found ourselves riding a giant chicken at Wesburyโ€™s Farm Day. Yes, this really is part of what we do!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’™

But behind all the fun is something that means so much to us. These moments are about showing up for our care partners, supporting the activities they create, building relationships, and being present in the communities we are privileged to serve.๐Ÿ’™

Hospice is about so much more than the care we provide at the end of life. Itโ€™s about being a good neighbor, a trusted partner, and an active part of our community.๐Ÿ’™

We are incredibly grateful to give back to a community that has given us so much. ๐Ÿ’™

And if giving back occasionally requires pancakes and riding an oversized chicken, well, somebody has to do it! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ”๐Ÿฅž๐Ÿ’™
