We are excited to introduce our newest SLPs, Caroline and Maya! 🎉⭐️
Caroline is a proud Mebane native and recent graduate of East Carolina University, where she earned her master’s degree for SLP. She is passionate about working with diverse pediatric populations and has clinical experience with a wide range of communication disorders, including articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, auditory processing disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She also has experience supporting children with Down syndrome, Rett syndrome, Batten disease, cerebral palsy, and those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Throughout her graduate training, Caroline provided therapy in outpatient clinics, schools, and interdisciplinary settings, gaining experience with children across a variety of diagnoses and communication needs. She is committed to providing engaging, individualized therapy that helps each child reach their fullest potential. In her free time, Caroline enjoys reading, traveling to Disney parks, and teaching Pilates.

Maya is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology. She is excited to begin her career as a Clinical Fellow and is passionate about helping individuals build confidence, serving her local community, and building meaningful communication skills. Throughout her graduate clinical experiences, she has provided evaluation and treatment services across the lifespan and in various settings. Maya has worked with clients with a range of diagnoses, including autism, childhood apraxia of speech, cerebral palsy, specific language impairment, Down syndrome, phonological disorders, auditory processing disorder, and more! Through these experiences, she has found a special interest in stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech, language development, and literacy disorders. Maya provides a neurodiversity-affirming, child-led approach to speech therapy to emphasize support, growth, and connection over compliance. In her free time, she enjoys reading, concerts, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
