Speech Stars was founded by two clinicians that are passionate about providing the best quality care possible. The clinicians at Speech Stars love learning about and implementing new treatment methods and bring all they have to offer to your child and your family. We believe in individualized treatment and fun, engaging therapy that includes both the child and care giver from beginni

We are nationally certified and state licensed for speech language pathology and are qualified to evaluate and treat a variety of speech and language disorders and delays including language delays, articulation and phonology delays, Apraxia, pragmatic delays, auditory processing disorder, and other communicative disorders.

Ridley has worked incredibly hard with Ms. Caroline! She recently wrote an introduction, 3 supporting sentences, and a conclusion independently. She has been working tirelessly toward this goal!

We are excited to feature Finley as our Star of the Week! 🎉⭐️

He and his whole family work really hard together to support his practice and goals. In this picture he’s holding up a practice sentence sheet he completed with his mother that shows he completed 200 trials. He was asked him to aim for half but he decided to challenge himself! She also was very involved and made detailed notes about which speech sound combos and sentences were tricky for him.

March was an extra special month for our sweet girl, Charlotte 💚

We are a little late but we are celebrating Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, and also celebrating some HUGE milestones! She has officially graduated from feeding therapy 🎉 — a journey filled with patience, strength, and so many small victories that led to this big one.

She and her Mom (Go Ashley!) worked so hard on strategies to keep her safe and increasing the strength of her articulators to get her to this place of discharge! Just remember Charlotte, make sure to drink after every 2-3 bites or you will start having lunch with Ms. Jillian again!
And that’s not all… her voice is shining brighter every day 💫

She’s making sounds, forming words both verbally and on her AAC device, and even filling in her favorite nursery rhymes with motions and words. Watching her find her voice in her own unique way has been nothing short of incredible.

She teaches us daily that progress doesn’t have to be fast to be powerful. Every step, every sound, every smile matters 💚

We’re thrilled to introduce our newest Admin Assistant, Janet! 🎉

Janet is a NC certified K6 teacher that is retired from NC Public Schools. She has her Life Time K6 NC teaching license. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Master of Arts in Education from East Carolina University. She has experience teaching different aged children and helping to develop the whole child. Janet enjoys cooking, reading, and music. Her favorite animal is a rabbit.

Janet will be in our Mebane office full time and is looking forward to meeting all of our wonderful families! 🥰
