Today, we remember. 🇺🇸

For so many of us, September 11, 2001, isn’t something we simply learned about in history—it’s a day we remember vividly. We remember where we were, what we were doing, who we were with, and the disbelief we felt as we watched the events unfold. Some memories never fade.

As members of EMS, we hold especially close the memory of the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away. Firefighters, EMS professionals, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, healthcare workers, and countless ordinary Americans answered the call without hesitation.

We remember those who never made it home. We honor those who responded and sacrificed. And we stand beside the families who continue to carry their memories.

May we never forget the bravery, the sacrifice or how our nation came together.

🚑📚 BACK TO SCHOOL — EMS EDITION! 📚🚑

While everyone else is talking about pencils, backpacks, and homework… three of our EMTs are heading back to the classroom for a whole different kind of education!

We’re incredibly proud of our EMTs who are taking the next step in their careers and beginning their Advanced EMT (AEMT) certification. 💪❤️

More studying. More skills. More clinical hours. More scenarios. Probably more caffeine than anyone should admit to. ☕😂

But most importantly — more knowledge and training to better serve our patients and our community.

Going from EMT to AEMT takes dedication, sacrifice, and a willingness to keep learning. We’re cheering you on every step of the way!

Our EMTs are putting in some extra training to expand the care they can provide in the field.

Team members are completing training on CPAP, nebulized medications, and hemostatic agents, giving them additional tools to treat breathing emergencies and serious bleeding before a patient reaches the hospital.

For our community, that means more capable providers, more treatment options, and better care when minutes matter.

We’re proud of our EMTs for continuing to learn, improve, and bring more capability to the people we serve. 🚑

Today, we celebrate four incredible EMTs who were honored with Life Saving Awards! 🏆

These awards represent so much more than a certificate or recognition. They represent the quick decisions, countless hours of training, teamwork, courage, and dedication it takes to answer the call when someone needs help the most.

When the tones drop, you never know what you’re walking into—but these four EMTs stepped up, relied on their training, worked together, and made a life-saving difference. 🩺🚑

We are incredibly proud of each of you and the commitment you show to your patients, your crews, and your community. Your actions remind us exactly why EMS matters.

💜 September is Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month 💜

In EMS, we respond to emergencies that can be seen — and many that can’t.

Sometimes the person who needs help most is the one quietly saying, “I’m fine.”

This month, we want to remind our community — and our fellow first responders — that mental health matters. Your struggles are real. Your life has value. And asking for help is a sign of strength.

Check on your friends. Check on your family. Check on your coworkers. And then check on the ones who always seem to be checking on everyone else. 💜

You never know what someone may be carrying behind the smile, the uniform, or the words “I’m okay.” You matter. You are needed. You are worth the call for help.

Hampden Township EMS is seeking qualified EMTs interested in flexible, part-time scheduling and the opportunity to serve the community while gaining experience with one of the busiest BLS ambulance services in Cumberland County.

Position details:
• $16.50/hour
• Flexible scheduling
• High-volume BLS experience

🚑 When the night lights up red, you know someone answered the call.

Different uniforms. Different agencies. One mission — showing up when someone is having one of their worst moments.

There’s something about seeing emergency vehicles lined up under those red lights that reminds you just how much teamwork happens behind every 911 call.

Late nights. Long shifts. Missed meals. And crews who keep showing up.

This is EMS. ❤️🚑

Friday we here at Hampden EMS said our farwells to the best boss any of us could have asked for. Bill Cook has served his community for the last 42 years and has made a difference in so many lives. He has been a friend, mentor, instructor, and boss to so many throughout the years. Thank you Bill for taking a chance on all of us and giving us all the best opportunities. We are a great bunch but you made us a family non the less. Bill as this chapter of your life closes and a new one opens just know you will always be apart of this EMS family. Enjoy retirement but stop in to see us every once in a while. Congratulations on retirement!!
