Appreciation post for the two ladies that make Journey Together Home Care function behind the scenes: Tara Pope and April TenHoeve are absolute rockstars at making each person they speak to, interact with, coach, counsel, laugh or cry with, encourage, love on, or support feel heard and understood.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that Mom has thoroughly enjoyed having Miss Jennifer here serving her. (So have I). She has been great and helped mom get through some very emotional visits with family and friends and it is fun to hear them laugh and giggle at the TV shows. She has been great support for mom when her old college roommate came to visit – as well as great support when my brother and his crew came to visit this weekend.

Hey, it’s Gretchen here! 👋🏼 I recently had a transformative meeting with Katie Davis from Journey Together Home Care - it was a meeting of similar minds and hearts so I wanted to share it with you.

Journey Together Home Care is doing such important work to support families providing companion care, personal care, as well as dementia and spiritual care trainings that are often open to the community. Katie and I connected over our shared passion for helping older adults and creating organizations of caring humans who will serve this important population.

Katie and her business partner, Peter, have a similar dynamic to Lynda and me. Lynda and I joke that we share a brain! Lynda is the idea-generating entrepreneur and I ask a whole lot of questions. 😃

The organic growth that happens through such a partnership brings you to a place where you can confidently say, “Well this is what I’m meant to do. This is my life’s work and calling.” Katie has a sign hanging in her office that articulates this perfectly. It says. “This must be the place.” 💜

Good morning!! Do I have any friends or family interested in a caregiving career, but unsure of where to get started? Do you have experience caring for loved ones over the years and find joy in serving and loving on others? We are happy to train anyone that has a coachable and loving spirit! No prior professional experience needed. Most of our best Care Partners have plenty of experience, but not a certificate when they reach out to us. We have a fully equipped training space and a wonderful CNA and RN on staff ready to walk you through any skills needed to serve others.

At Journey Together Home Care, we provide all necessary training to prepare our Care Team to serve Clients needing personal care services, as well as continuing education along the way. You bring the caregiving heart, and we will journey together with you to set you up for success!

Our Care management team looks after individuals who want to age in place, needing our assistance and geriatric care with no minimum service hours nor contract.
