Our community partner, We Are The Champions Dance Committee, is hosting a Retro Halloween Dance, and IMPACT will be there. Join us for dancing, friendly faces, and a fun evening together.

For people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, high school age and older.

We celebrated our amazing DSPs with pizza, donuts, and time together at IMPACT of Oregon’s appreciation days in Douglas, Lane, and Deschutes counties.

To every DSP on our team: thank you for supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they make their own choices, build independence, and pursue what matters to them.

And to our clients who joined us - thank you for making these celebrations so special. We loved sharing this time with you!

All 22 California Welcome Centers are certified Sensory Inclusive® by KultureCity. 🚗 Each location offers sensory kits and weighted lap pads for travelers to borrow — including noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, and communication cue cards — and staff at every center have completed specialized training.

🎉 DSP Appreciation Week Spotlight: Cesar P. – Klamath County 🎉

Cesar is a Direct Support Professional who supports his younger sister, whom he helped raise and continues to care for. Together they enjoy outings to parks, waterfalls, and movie theaters, hiking trails, arts and crafts, and working on her ADL and speech skills. Cesar shares that supporting his sister professionally while caring for others has strengthened his empathy, patience, and communication skills — and deepened his love for helping others thrive.

🎉 DSP Appreciation Week Spotlight: Linnea H. – Lane County 🎉

Linnea is both a mom and a DSP for her daughter, Eryn, and they live in Springfield! Linnea began working in this role about a year ago, and since joining IMPACT of Oregon, Eryn has made incredible progress in her health and wellness journey — especially with nutrition and exercise. She's built a wonderful daily walking routine with the family's two dogs, Pippi and Shahaley, often covering a mile and a half or more each day!

Linnea, thank you for your dedication to Eryn's growth and for being such an active part of her journey. We're proud of how far she's come and excited to see continued progress! 💛
