A friend texted me today after stopping at the meat market.
She told me she’d been feeling pretty crappy about herself all day. Then, while she was checking out, the woman behind the counter looked at her and simply said,

“You look so beautiful today.”

She said she almost cried.

One sentence from a stranger, at exactly the right moment. Maybe God really does work in mysterious ways. ❤️
But it also made me think about something…
Why are we sometimes so willing to believe the negative things we say to ourselves, yet it takes someone else pointing out something beautiful for us to see it?

We can’t always wait for a stranger to come along and remind us of our worth.
Speak kindly to yourself.
Give yourself some grace.
And don’t let negative self-talk convince you that you belong in a place of insecurity, inadequacy, or self-doubt.
You hear every word you say to yourself.

Make sure some of them are kind. ❤️

So… what actually happens when you come to MEND?

Honestly, it won’t look exactly the same for everyone.

We start with a conversation.
How are you sleeping?
Where are you holding tension?
How’s your energy?
What’s been weighing on you lately?
And most importantly, how do you want to feel?

From there, your session may include restorative bodywork, acupressure, Reiki, relaxation techniques, or simply talking through small wellness changes that may better support your body and your everyday life.

There’s no judgment. No rushing. And no expectation that you have to show up with something “wrong.”

MEND is simply a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and give your body a little attention for a change.

You Were Built To Heal.

Curious? Message me. We’ll figure out where to start together.

I talk a lot about slowing down, letting go of stress and giving our bodies a chance to breathe.
This weekend reminded me that I need those things too.
I spent three days at Mohican with some of my girlfriends. We laughed until we cried, ate good food, had some drinks, rafted the river, sat around the campfire and talked about everything and nothing.
More than once, someone said, “I really needed this."
No schedule. No work. No one needing anything from me. No list of things I should be doing. Just friends, laughter, a river, a campfire and apparently a porch swing that I fully committed to! 😂
This is a big part of why MEND means so much to me. I don't believe any of us are meant to constantly push through life without stopping long enough to actually enjoy it.
Find the moments that bring you back to yourself.

Sometimes your body needs permission to stop bracing.
We think of stress as something that happens in our minds.
But the body carries it too.

Tight shoulders.
A clenched jaw.
Shallow breathing.
Restlessness.
Feeling exhausted but unable to truly relax.

Sometimes we've been operating that way for so long that tension starts to feel normal.
That's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about restorative bodywork.
It isn't always about "fixing" something.
Sometimes it's simply about creating a space where you can slow down, breathe, release some of what you've been carrying, and give your nervous system a chance to settle.
You don't have to earn rest.
And you don't have to wait until you're completely depleted to take care of yourself.
Sometimes healing begins when the body finally feels safe enough to soften.

Where do you feel most grounded? Walking on the beach, standing in the grass, or sitting quietly in nature?

When was the last time you felt the ground beneath your feet?
Not through your shoes...
Not while rushing from one place to the next...
I mean really felt it.
We spend so much of our lives disconnected,
inside our homes, in our cars, staring at screens, carrying stress that our bodies were never meant to hold.
Sometimes one of the simplest things we can do is reconnect.
Step outside.
Take your shoes off.
Stand in the grass.
Feel the earth beneath your feet.
Take a few slow, deep breaths.
Will it solve every problem? No.
But it can be a gentle reminder to slow down, become present, and reconnect with your body.
Healing doesn't always begin with something complicated.
Sometimes it begins with something as simple as standing still.
Take a few minutes this week to unplug, breathe deeply, and reconnect. Your body and your mind may thank you.

Sometimes the biggest obstacle to healing, growth, or reaching our goals... is ourselves.
When life gets frustrating, it's easy to think the answer is to quit.
But before we do, maybe we should ask ourselves a different question...
Have I truly given myself the opportunity to succeed?
Or have I allowed fear, doubt, frustration, or disappointment to get in my way?
Growth is rarely a straight path.
There will be setbacks.
There will be days when you question yourself.
There will be moments when giving up feels easier than trying again.
Don't let one difficult day convince you that you're on the wrong path.
Sometimes the breakthrough comes just after the moment you wanted to quit.
Be patient with yourself.
Keep learning.
Keep growing.
And most importantly...
Don't get in your own way.

Inflammation is one of the body’s natural defense mechanisms. In the short term, it helps us heal.

But chronic inflammation tells a different story.

When inflammation remains elevated over time, it can quietly contribute to:

• Pain
• Digestive dysfunction
• Immune imbalance
• Fatigue
• Poor recovery
• Hormonal disruption
• Sleep disturbances
• Increased stress on the nervous system

The problem is…

Most people learn to manage symptoms instead of asking when did this start?

When did the fatigue begin?

When did sleep become difficult?

When did the pain first show up?

When did the body start asking for help?

Too often we focus on covering symptoms instead of understanding why the body is struggling in the first place. The body is incredibly intelligent.

Sometimes healing begins when we stop asking “How do I make this symptom go away?”

And start asking…

What is my body trying to tell me?

Welcome to MEND By Staci

For a long time, I’ve known one thing about myself…

I genuinely love helping people feel better.

Years ago, I had the privilege of working closely with people through massage therapy, and one of the most rewarding feelings I’ve ever experienced was seeing someone walk in carrying pain, tension, stress, or discomfort… and knowing I was able to help them leave feeling relief.

That feeling never left me.

Over the years, I’ve continued learning and expanding my passion for holistic wellness, natural healing, Reiki, bodywork, and understanding how the body responds to stress, imbalance, and everyday life.

And now, I’m stepping back into what has always felt like part of my purpose.

MEND was created with a simple mission:

To help people feel better.
To restore balance in the body.
To support healing naturally.

Because life has a way of wearing us down.

My goal is to help restore what life, stress, pain, and imbalance have worn down.

This is more than a business for me.

It’s a passion, and I’m excited to begin helping others on their healing journey.

Thank you for being here 🩵
