What part of me must die so that something more authentic can live?
Each year, the Sun stands in opposition to Pluto, reminding us that light and shadow are never separate; they define one another. But this year, the story deepens.
As the Sun joins Jupiter in Leo, the two brightest symbols of vitality, confidence, and expansion stand directly across from Pluto, the Lord of the Underworld, now in Aquarius, the sign of the future, collective evolution, and the courage to become who we are meant to be.
Adding even greater significance, the Moon is waxing toward its Full Moon, reaching perfection on July 29 in Aquarius. This Moon forms a harmonious trine to Uranus, its modern ruler, at 4° Gemini, awakening insight, liberation, and the willingness to break free from outdated identities. Interestingly, Saturn, Aquarius’ traditional ruler, makes no major aspects to this lunation. The old gatekeeper is quiet. There are fewer external rules demanding obedience and a greater invitation to trust the wisdom emerging from within. So what is the larger story unfolding?
Perhaps this is not simply about change, but about the identity that is ready to be shed. Perhaps this is the moment we stop negotiating with fear and begin trusting the version of ourselves waiting patiently beneath years of conditioning, expectations, and performance.
This may be a profoundly humbling lunation, because it may strip away the masks we no longer need. We may recognize where we have been performing for an audience, seeking validation rather than authentic expression. Pluto asks us to descend beneath the applause and discover what remains when no one is watching.
The invitation is no longer to be merely seen.
It’s no longer about just being seen; it is to become so fully aligned with your authentic nature that your presence naturally illuminates the room by radiating your truth.
Sometimes the greatest transformation is not becoming someone new. It is having the courage to stop pretending to be someone you have already outgrown.
Much love
Lisa
