🧬 PEPTIDE SPOTLIGHT: KPV 🧬
Part of our weekly peptide education series
What is KPV?
KPV is a naturally occurring tripeptide derived from the alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It has been studied for its potential anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating properties.
🔬 What is KPV being researched for?
Research has explored KPV’s potential role in:
✨ Supporting a healthy inflammatory response
✨ Gut and intestinal health
✨ Skin health and inflammatory skin conditions
✨ Modulating certain immune responses
🧠 Why are we talking about it?
At Trident Healthcare – Mind, Body & Wellness, we believe patients should have access to education and evidence-based information about emerging therapies.
KPV is one of the peptides that has received attention during the FDA’s Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) discussions. While the PCAC process is an important step, committee recommendations do not mean a peptide is FDA-approved or automatically available for compounding.
