Scott Center Rec Connect is back this fall and begins 9/9

Rec Connect gives children and teens ages 6–17 opportunities to build friendships, practice teamwork, and have fun through sports, games, and community activities. This fall, participants will have the chance to connect with several Florida Tech athletic teams, along with visits to the VR Lab and E-Sports!

We’re happy to share a research study being conducted by Scott Center alum and current Florida Tech PsyD student, Jessy Pichardo!

Jessy is seeking parents and primary caregivers of children with developmental disabilities to participate in a brief survey exploring how families make decisions about their children’s health, including experiences with childhood vaccines, healthcare decisions, and navigating medical care.

The survey takes approximately 20–25 minutes to complete. If you’re interested in participating, scan the QR code or follow the link on the flyer below.

We are still feeling the joy and inspiration from this year’s Evening of Hope- Hope Blooms. The evening was a beautiful reflection of what makes the Scott Center, Florida Tech, and Brevard County community so special!

Seeing families, supporters, staff, and friends gathered together in support of children and families served by the Scott Center was so inspiring. Your support helps ensure that children and families continue to receive the services they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Kite Building and Flying!🪁
Free kite kits included! Come build and decorate your own kite with us in collaboration with Beyond the Farm and Stanford Alumni Groups!

Know before you go:

Meet under the main gazebo at the picnic tables. Look for the Beyond the Farm sign.
Children ages 3 or older are welcome to participate.
What to Bring/Wear:
Beach attire.
Flip flops, shorts, t-shirts, anything comfortable for flying kites on the beach. Sand will be hot.
Bring lots of water, sunscreen, umbrellas if you'd like and any beach attire you like.
Beach towels, chairs, hats, etc.
Wear your Stanford gear!

Waivers will be on hand at event before joining in on the fun. See you at the beach!
