Rosemary and Jennifer are a mother-daughter team who have brought the Seniors Helping Seniors business here to Brevard county. Both have a history of caregiving and worked together previously in the Insurance industry. They both feel that the path that led them to Seniors Helping Seniors was providential. Jennifer took a leave of absence to care for her children and while home took the time to rea

ssess her career goals. About the same time her mother-in-law had two surgeries that left her in need of assistance. While running to and from doctor’s appointments, running errands, and sitting at lunch surrounded by seniors, Jennifer realized that this was no burden at all, she thoroughly enjoyed it! Reading one of her husband’s magazines, she saw an advertisement for Seniors Helping Seniors and was intrigued, but put the article aside. A month later and a new magazine was delivered, this time with an advertisement for Seniors Helping Seniors. Taking this as a sign, she looked into the franchise and fell in love with their philosophies. Knowing that her mother was a prudent, knowledgeable business woman, she brought the information to Rosemary for her thoughts. Rosemary also came away so impressed that she became the “Senior” partner!

💜 Purple Porch Party PHOTO DUMP! 💜

What a night! Great people, lots of laughs, an incredible show of support from our Brevard community—and SO much purple!

We tried to capture as many of the faces that made the evening special as we could. Take a look, tag yourself and your friends, and help us show some love to the amazing people and businesses who came together to support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s!

And if we missed tagging you, please tag yourself—we want everyone who helped make this night such a success to get some love! 💜

💜 Last night was AMAZING! 💜

Before we share all the pictures and fun from our Purple Porch Party, we have to start with gratitude.

Our Brevard business community absolutely stepped up and showed out! The generosity was incredible. We had SO many donated raffle baskets and prizes that we were practically playing Tetris trying to figure out how to display them all!

To every business, organization, and friend who donated, shared our event, invited others, bought raffle tickets, or simply showed up to support us—THANK YOU.

This is what community looks like. Businesses supporting one another. Friends showing up for friends. And all of us coming together for families impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

We are incredibly grateful—and we can’t wait to show you all the fun from last night!

Stay tuned for the pictures…and the final fundraising total! 💜

We had a wonderful Caregiver Luncheon yesterday!

These luncheons are a chance for our caregivers to gather, connect, get a little business done, and—most importantly—learn something new that helps us better serve our clients.

A huge thank you to Shavonne Mariscal with Proclaim Communication and Rehabilitation Services for joining us and sharing her expertise! Shavonne taught us about the important role speech therapy can play for people living with aphasia, dysphagia, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia, along with practical ways our caregivers can better support their clients.

Our caregivers had LOTS of questions, and Shavonne’s knowledge and real-world examples made for such an engaging conversation.

Continuing education is a big part of how we support our caregivers—and how they, in turn, provide the very best support to our clients.

Thank you, Shavonne, for spending the afternoon with us!
