🔥🐷 It was an honor to sponsor the BBQ for the Grilling for Heroes event at One Senior Place!

Our incredible culinary team pulled out all the stops, serving mouthwatering BBQ sampler platters featuring brisket, ribs, chicken skewers, sausage and pepper sandwiches, and plenty of delicious sides. The highlight of the event was a whole roasted pig that truly wowed the crowd! 🍖👏

🌟 Team Member Spotlight: Welcome Shawn Handley, Sales Counselor! 🌟

We are thrilled to welcome Shawn Handley to The Brennity at Melbourne team! 💙

For more than six years, Shawn has dedicated her career to serving seniors and their families, discovering a true passion for helping older adults navigate one of life's most meaningful chapters. As Shawn shares, “Aging is a gift, and when we care for one another with compassion, dignity, and respect, we help people age with grace and purpose.”

After joining The Brennity just two months ago, Shawn immediately recognized the exceptional culture of kindness and compassion that makes our community so special. She is honored to be part of a team committed to serving seniors with excellence and making a positive difference every day.

When she's not helping families, Shawn enjoys spending time with her husband, Bret, and their two grown sons. After relocating from Seattle to Florida, she and Bret are embracing the sunshine! ☀️🏍️🎣 Shawn loves riding her Harley, fishing on their boat, and has an impressive background serving our country as a Military Police Officer in the Army. Her husband also works for Blue Origin, helping build rockets! 🚀

Our Pathways residents enjoyed a full day of fun and adventure! 🌿🥤🍕

The outing began with a visit to Harris Establishment Farms U-Pick Adventure, followed by a stop at 7-Eleven to celebrate Free Slurpee Day. We wrapped up the day with a late lunch at our very own pub, where Chef Ritchie handcrafted delicious pizzas for everyone to enjoy! 👨‍🍳✨

It was a wonderful day filled with new experiences, great food, and meaningful time together.

Welcome Home featuring: Jean S. 🏡✨

Jean has called The Brennity at Melbourne home for a year and a half, and she recently welcomed us into her beautifully designed apartment as part of our Welcome Home Campaign.

With an impressive background in design, Jean describes her style as transitional, blending timeless pieces from the past with today’s attitude. When she moved into our community, she carefully selected new Ethan Allen furniture to complement her space, creating a home that is both elegant and inviting.

Jean’s passion for design began at the Chicago School of Interior Decoration. She is a State Board Certified Interior Designer and a proud member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Although mostly retired, her talent remains in demand, and just last month she completed the interior design for an investment broker’s office.

Thank you, Jean, for welcoming us into your home and sharing the elegance, style, and inspiration that make it uniquely yours. 💙
