What if something as familiar as a deck of cards could help someone living with dementia stay engaged, connected and involved?

Our latest blog looks at the role purposeful play can have in memory care, including how familiar games, puzzles and other activities can encourage communication, problem-solving and participation without creating unnecessary frustration.

It also explores why games can be especially valuable for families, giving everyone an easy way to spend time together when conversation alone may feel difficult.

Our Resident Ambassadors recently gathered for a special luncheon in recognition of all they do for our community! 💛

Resident Engagement Director Madison Sanborn joined the group for a meal prepared by our culinary team, complete with pastries from a local bakery. Each Ambassador also received a notebook as a small thank-you for the warm welcomes, friendly faces and helping hands they offer to residents who are new to Melrose Station.

We’re so grateful for everything our Ambassadors bring to the community each day!
