Does one size - or one approach - fit all when it comes to breast augmentation?

The short answer: no.

We recently came across a video from Jess sharing her perspective on above-the-muscle vs. under-the-muscle implant placement and the idea of a “one size fits all” approach to breast augmentation.

We wanted to join the conversation because in our office, implant placement is always individualized to the patient. Your anatomy, existing breast tissue, goals, lifestyle and several other factors can all play a role in determining which approach may be best for you.

Every saline implant is filled using strict sterile technique to help prevent contaminants from entering the implant. It’s one of the many small details that plays an important role in patient safety and surgical outcomes.

Breast Tip Tuesday, Volume 36✨

Here’s something you don’t see every day...

During this patient’s breast implant removal and replacement procedure, one saline implant looked completely normal, while the other showed calcification on the surface.

What’s even more interesting? The patient had no symptoms, her breasts remained soft, and her implant pocket looked completely normal.

So... why does this happen?
