Today, we recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Day and honor the individuals and families whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story that deserves to be acknowledged.

We encourage everyone to learn the facts, stay informed about screenings, and support those navigating a breast cancer diagnosis. To survivors, those currently fighting, and everyone who has lost someone to this disease, we stand with you. 💗

Last week at Highlands, we celebrated our Environmental Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Central Supply, and Maintenance teams!

This group keeps everything running, supports every department, and helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming space for our residents and staff every single day. Their impact is seen in every detail across the building.

We’re grateful for this team and all they do behind the scenes and beyond.

On this day, we honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage shown by first responders and everyday heroes on September 11, 2001.

Their strength, sacrifice, and unity continue to inspire us. We reflect not only on the tragedy, but on the resilience that followed, reminding us of the importance of compassion, service, and coming together in the face of adversity.

We will never forget.
