🧠 Today is National Concussion Awareness Day!

Concussions don’t just happen in sports. Motor vehicle crashes are a common cause of traumatic brain injury (TBI), accounting for nearly 1 in 4 nonfatal TBI-related hospitalizations in CDC data.

At FlexWorx Medical Management, we specialize in the evaluation and treatment of concussion and TBI injuries following auto collisions. Our comprehensive approach includes Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), an advanced MRI technique that evaluates the movement of water along the brain’s white-matter pathways and can provide additional information about changes associated with traumatic brain injury.

From advanced imaging to individualized medical care, our team is committed to providing exceptional, comprehensive care throughout each patient’s recovery.

This week, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on one of our wonderful Nurse Practitioners, Emily Boone!

Emily joined the FlexWorx team in May and has truly excelled from day one. She has quickly become an incredible team player, bringing compassion, positivity, and dedication to everything she does. Her patients appreciate the genuine care she provides, and her coworkers love working alongside her.

This week, we're excited to introduce one of the newest faces on our team, Lance, our Physical Therapist in Jackson, TN!

With over 10 years of rehabilitation experience, Lance specializes in orthopedic and neurological injuries, concussion and TBI rehabilitation, and manual therapy techniques. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from South College–Atlanta and also holds a Master's in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University.

Originally from Columbia, SC, Lance is a proud husband and father of three who enjoys spending time with family, exercising, reading, traveling, sports, and trying new restaurants.

What inspires him most?

"I am a man of strong Christian faith, and I truly believe that my work is my ministry."
