🎉My Retirement Day has arrived. 💐
It feels exciting and yet bittersweet. This workplace has been such a meaningful part of my life. Dr Engbretson, Dr Riedley-Malone, Kathleen Behnke , NP and Virginia Adams, NP will hold special places in my heart as well as my coworkers. They are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I will treasure the conversations, the laughter, the challenges, the support and the kindness.

THANK YOU everyone for being a part of my journey. I will MISS you all and will carry these unforgettable memories into my next chapter where I will continue to thrive. Thank you for the cards, gifts and positive thoughts. I am so incredibly grateful. 🥹

After 40 years of wearing scrubs, I’m hanging up my stethoscope and passing the torch proudly on July 2, 2026. It has been the honor of my life to care for each and everyone of my patients during life's most vulnerable moments. Trusting me with your care has been a profound privilege, and the memories I've shared with each of you will forever be etched in my heart. Your unwavering strength, unrelenting spirit, and the unforgettable smiles are the treasures I will carry with me into retirement, and I will look back on my career with immense pride and gratitude.

Thank you for being such wonderful colleagues and friends. Thank you everyone for the shared laughs, friendship, the caring support and for making work feel like home. I maybe stepping away from the floor and nurse calls but I will deeply miss the amazing people I’ve worked with plus our daily interactions but look forward to watching the team continue to thrive.

Nurse Pat is retiring! She has been the heart of ECW since before we opened the doors, and we know many patients (and staff) can’t imagine her not being there! If you want to send Pat a card or letter, stop by the office and drop one off or put it in the mail. You can also just type out an email and we will make sure she gets it. We love you Pat!
