Our Community Engagement team just dropped off new teen-sized winter coats for the Juvenile Court of Memphis & Shelby County's Candy "Coated" Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 24. They will go to young people in need at the event.

Thank you to the Juvenile Court team for the chance to be part of it.

Today, Alliance CEO Laurie Powell and Mark Billingsley, Executive Director of The Alliance Foundation, joined community leaders at the UT Health Science Center groundbreaking for the new College of Medicine Interdisciplinary Building.

The $350 million building will help the College of Medicine train more physicians and double its physician assistant program. A stronger health care workforce is good for every patient in Memphis, and we were glad to be there as it begins.

Great to see Gary Shorb, Chairman of The Alliance Foundation, Marty Ragan and Jan Young there too.

Congratulations to Chancellor Peter Buckley and everyone at UTHSC.

We cut the ribbon in Millington today! ✂️

Thank you to Mayor Larry Dagen, City Manager Frankie Dakin, and the City of Millington for providing this house and for believing in this partnership. Thank you also to the school leaders, our board, and our team who came out to celebrate.

Millington is the fastest-growing city in Shelby County, and its students and families deserve care close to home. This house will be a new home for our work supporting students' mental health in Millington. We'll share more as services get closer.

Alliance and the City of Millington cut the ribbon on a house that brings mental health support closer to Millington students and families.

Desirée is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist at Turning Point, our peer support center on Summer Avenue. On September 21, the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services honored her with the 2026 CPRS Advocate of Peer Services Award at the Tennessee All Peer Conference in Nashville.

Her team says it best: Desirée is caring, compassionate, and always goes above and beyond for the people she serves.
