Within the first two weeks of treatments, not even after the full scans had been done, I noticed significant differences in my memory, focus, attention, and even my attitude. I suffer from C-PTSD and actually had a traumatic brain injury in late 2018 that rattled me pretty hard.
I've been in therapy for nearly a decade, which has helped a lot, but my therapist recommended getting into LENS Neurofeedback to help with our work because my brain has refused to allow me access to certain things, limiting our continued progress. And can I say -- I wish I'd have known about this treatment YEARS ago because the benefits have been so quick to set in. My day-to-day life has drastically improved through my LENS treatment, even. I find myself laughing more, enjoying being out in the world, not dreading going to work in the mornings. It's astounding. And the only thing different is working with Krystle and getting LENS Neurofeedback therapy.
It's been fascinating to report the different changes I'm noticing to her and talk about the science of why my brain is doing what it's doing and how it all relates. I'm learning so much! Every session opens up new discoveries, and I look forward to seeing what my brain will show me and do for me next. It's such a sense of peace, too, to finally feel like I'm in control again, to not be wrecked by hypervigilance and overactive thinking all the time. I feel a calm I don't think I've ever known before, and my relationships are improving because I'm relearning how to navigate the world in safer ways, rather than my old survival methods. This has truly been a blessing.
