This month’s Weekend Warriors prove that fitness is about so much more than finish lines 💙💚

For runner Wagner Osborne, the miles are about community, friendship, and the people who make every race memorable, from childhood cross-country teammates to her HyperFocus Run Club family right here in Memphis.

For sprint triathlete Justin Matias, movement is a celebration of resilience. After overcoming multiple surgeries and personal challenges, he now trains to represent Team USA on the world stage while setting an example for his family and patients.

Rock bottom became the foundation for Mandy Bradley’s next chapter.

A Memphis native and nurse of seven years, Mandy spent her career in COVID ICUs, transplant intensive care, and hospice care before burnout led her to rethink everything. After getting sober and finding a renewed sense of purpose, she launched The IV Nurse 901, a mobile IV hydration business that brings wellness directly to clients’ homes.

Today, Mandy is helping Memphians recover, recharge, and feel their best through personalized hydration therapy. Whether battling illness, managing migraines, or simply running on empty, you can count on renewed energy with The IV Nurse 901 💙💚

Read Mandy’s story in our June issue and learn how she turned personal healing into a mission to help others.

Last night, we celebrated three decades of Memphis Health + Fitness with so many of the people who have helped shape our story along the way!

For 30 years, this magazine has been about more than fitness. It’s been about shining a light on the people, businesses, events, and stories that make our city healthier, stronger, and more connected.

Memphis deserves a narrative rooted in possibility. We deserve to see ourselves as a city that values health, wellness, movement, and community, and we’re proud to have spent the last 30 years helping tell that story.

To everyone who has graced our pages, shared their journey, supported our mission, advertised with us, picked up an issue, attended an event, or cheered us on from the sidelines—THANK YOU! This celebration was for you.

A special thank you to for being wonderful hosts, for the delicious eats, for the amazing photos, for the tunes, for the fun hair accessories, and for their impressive performance 🌟

Here’s to the last 30 years, and cheers to the next chapter of inspiring Memphis to live healthier, happier lives 💙💚

Some run marathons. Some run trails. Some run before sunrise. Some run to clear their minds.

In honor of Global Running Day, we’re celebrating the runners who have shared their stories with us over the years. Although each has a different journey, they all share the love of putting one foot in front of the other.

Here’s to the miles, the memories, the finish lines, and the communities built along the way! Happy 💙💚

Our May Weekend Warriors are proving that endurance comes in many forms 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Leigh Anne Otten Timmerman rediscovered her competitive spirit through triathlon after years away from the sport. What started as a personal challenge became a passion rooted in discipline, resilience, and finding balance between training, motherhood, and everyday life.

For local physician Barton Borg Thrasher, cycling became about more than exercise. From long rides to local races, he’s embraced the culture of the sport while pushing himself physically and mentally along the way.
