I’m Karen Roy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience walking alongside individuals through life’s most difficult seasons. My clients often tell me they feel safe and fully seen in our work together. That sense of acceptance and empathy is at the core of how I practice—I hold space for every part of your story, without judgment. Whether you’re navigating grief, trauma, identity shifts, or daily stressors, I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you feel grounded, supported, and empowered to grow.

Clinically, I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and adjustment-related challenges. I’m trained in EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), incorporate evidence-based approaches that are tailored to each individual. My work is rooted in a trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective. This isn’t just a profession for me—it’s my calling.

I’ve spent decades serving diverse populations, including people within the disability community. Having lived with my own disability for 37 years, I bring a personal understanding of resilience, loss, and growth. This lived perspective informs the way I walk alongside clients through change, grief, and identity shifts.
