Once again, we invite all community members to join Mendham First Aid and Mendham Fire Department this coming Friday 11 morning, as we honor the lives lost 25 years ago in the 9/11 attacks.

This includes all first responders (Police, Fire, EMS, and others) who perished while in service to others, as well as all innocent victims.

We will once again assemble on Main Street (across from Dunkin' Donuts, at the end of the firehouse driveway, offering moments of silence throughout the morning, as we recall the falling of the Twin Towers and other events from 25 years ago.

We ask that if you are driving by at those times, please come to a complete stop and allow for a respectful silence during these moments of reflection.

Thanks to the generosity of the FM Kirby Foundation, we were able to invest in a new cooling station this year.

And today, we are pleased to deploy misting fans and tent mister system to keep the kids (and awaiting parents) cool at Mendham Borough Day Camp until this heat wave breaks.

Yesterday at approximately 1700 hours, the Mendham First Aid Squad was dispatched by Morris County Communications Center to Patriots' Path near Dean Road for a reported runner experiencing a medical emergency.

EMTs successfully extricated the patient from the wooded area, and the patient was transported to the hospital without further incident.

We'd like to thank our partners at the Mendham Borough Police Department and Atlantic Mobile Health Paramedics for their support as always. A special thank you as well to the Morris County Sheriff's Office for deploying their UTV to assist with the response.

If you’re unable to call, you may be able to text 9-1-1 in an emergency. This can be helpful if you:

🦻 Are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability

When texting 9-1-1:
📍 Include your location – An address is best, but landmarks can help if you’re unsure.
✍️ Keep it short and clear – Text what’s happening and where you are.
💬 Respond to dispatcher questions – They need details to send the right help.

⚠️ Remember: Not all areas in the U.S. support Text-to-9-1-1, and it is currently available in English only.
