Ever notice how “normal” doesn’t always mean you feel good?

You go in for bloodwork, the results come back fine…Though fine doesn’t explain the exhaustion, the brain fog, the feeling of running on empty even after a full night’s sleep.

That gap is real. Standard labs are built to catch disease, not to tell you if you’re actually thriving. There’s a wide range of “normal” where your numbers pass but your body is clearly asking for more support.

I put together a guide with the 7 tests I check with my patients. These are common labs. What’s different is how I interpret them, there’s more nuance in what ‘normal’ actually means versus what ‘optimal’ is for you specifically.

It’s free. Comment LABS and I’ll send it your way.

Fun fact: I was once teaching a virtual yoga class from my living room and Daisy stole my scrunchie during child’s pose! This is what midday work breaks look like around here. 🐾

After burnout, I didn’t need more discipline, but needed to overhaul my habits.
Here are 10 things I started doing that changed how I feel in my body every day:

1. Leaving space in my day- not everything needs to be filled to be productive
2. Letting “no” be a full sentence- protecting my energy without overexplaining
3. Listening to fatigue signals - rest before burnout forces it
4. Supporting my energy through nutrition- nourishment, hydration, rhythm… not just caffeine
5. Building rest into my routine- not waiting until I’m completely exhausted
6. Choosing environments that feel calm + safe- your surroundings matter more than you think
7. Checking in with my body daily- before it has to get my attention
8. Moving slower without guilt- slower doesn’t mean falling behind
9. Being intentional with what I commit to- less stuff, but better quality
10. Staying connected to myself throughout the day- not abandoning myself just to keep up

None of these are extreme, in fact, they’re simple, and almost seem too obvious.
But they’re also the exact things most of us were never taught to prioritize.
And over time, they change everything about how your body feels.
Which one do you need more of right now?

This is the change in perspective that I walk women through every day. It’s not easy, but we make it possible to move out of survival mode and into a body that feels like home again.
