During labor, she helped us navigate pain management, induction options and timing, and different positions and techniques to help labor progress. When contractions became intense, she gave me concrete things to focus on and helped me work through the pain.

After I got the epidural, Olga noticed that my contractions had slowed down and worked with me through different positions to get things moving again. The contractions eventually came back naturally, allowing me to continue progressing without additional intervention at that point.

Her coaching during pushing was especially helpful. Her counting and encouragement gave me something to focus on, and she helped me find positions that worked well for me.

We connected with Olga 3 times inperson and virtually before my due date to learn about labor and delivery and get hands on with comfort measures. When my contractions started, she was only a call or text away and was very responsive and helped us figure out how far I was progressing with my coNtractions and when to head to the hospital. Once at the hospital, she stayed with us the entire time and gave valuable insights to help with decision making, helped me focus on my breathing, hip squeezes, moral support, everything! Happy to share that as of today I am DONA International certified. While I’ve been doing birth work for a while (and certified by Harmony doula Mentoring), this new certification will enable more clients to get the services covered by their insurance!

"If we discovered that the birth experience has an impact on one’s mental health or psychological well-being, it would make sense to seek and use interventions that exert positive influences." A question discussed in "Just Another Day in a Woman's Life" article by Penny Simkin.

Doulas do exactly that; beyond reducing the risk of cesareans, reduction of use of Pitocin and pain medications, doulas help birthing people achieve a positive birthing experience to carry throughout their lives.

After supporting 7 (!!) labors in recent 3 weeks I'm on a vacation with my family. While keeping in touch with my latest clients and reflecting on the past month, I realized I have mostly full availability for September onwards. If you, or someone you know may benefit from birth support - lets be in touch!

I loved working with all of my clients, and besides one sweet family that had an unplanned c-section, all delivered the way they wished for (including 3 unmedicated VBACS!). Its my pure honor to be accompanying these people in such a special time in their lives; helping their voices to be heard, their preferences be respected and them having a good experience as they are expanding their families.
