For more than 60 years, American Lutheran Communities has been a trusted friend and good neighbor, providing west central Wisconsin communities with quality senior care in the warmth and reassurance of a Christian atmosphere. With pooled resources and assistance from several area Evangelical Lutheran Church congregations, American Lutheran Homes opened its first two facilities to serve the elderly

in 1949. Since then, we've expanded our services to provide local care and support for independent seniors, disabled adults, rehabilitative patients, and long-term residents. Today, our clients enjoy the comfort, camaraderie, and gentle smiles that meet them at all American Lutheran Homes facilities:

ALH Menomonie - a skilled nursing home with a pleasant view of of woods in Menomonie, Wisconsin

Autumn Village - an assisted living community conveniently attached to ALH Menomonie

ALH Mondovi - a skilled nursing home surrounded by the rural natural beauty and small town charm of Mondovi, Wisconsin

Please join us in congratulating Candace K., Culinary Cook, on being selected as September’s Employee of the Month at ALH Mondovi!

Candace consistently goes above and beyond to make our residents happy. She takes pride in preparing meals that are delicious and enjoyed by all. She is always looking for new foods and experiences for our residents to try.

Her kindness, dedication, and willingness to help wherever needed truly embody the spirit of ALH. We are so grateful for everything Candace does for our residents and our team!

What a beautiful morning to be outside enjoying the sunshine! Our residents from ALH Mondovi and Hillview Senior Living made the most of it by preparing some delicious, locally grown sweet corn for our very own lunch.

The ALH Mondovi and Hillview Senior Living car wash was a wheel-y big success! Residents and staff had a blast giving those wheelchairs a little TLC. There was plenty of laughter, lots of suds, and a whole lot of teamwork!

When it was all said and done, the wheelchairs were sparkling, the wheels were squeaky clean, and our residents were smiling from ear to ear!

Clean chairs, happy hearts, and memories made — now that’s a wash worth talking about!

Residents from ALH Mondovi & Hillview were treated to a Sunday Drive like no other! 🏍️

Volunteers from the Eleva-Strum Rail Riders, Buffalo County Trail Riders, Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department, Mondovi Police Department, Mondovi Fire Department, and our amazing facility staff all came together to orchestrate a truly unforgettable day.

And the smiles? They were everywhere! 😊 From our residents to the volunteers, the joy and excitement were contagious.

The ride began at ALH and wound through the city streets of Mondovi before heading out of town. With a police es**rt leading the way down Main Street and out toward County Road TT, everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds our community.

As the riders made their way back to the facility, community members were out and about, waving and cheering them on — adding even more excitement to an already special day!

Our residents returned with huge smiles and happy hearts and are already asking when the next ride will be! While some were hoping we could do another one in just two weeks 😉, we’re already looking ahead and hoping to make two rides happen next year!

A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who played a part in making this day possible. There were so many moving pieces behind the scenes, and we are incredibly grateful for every volunteer, department, staff member, and community member who helped make this event such a tremendous success.

Residents from ALH Menomonie had a wild time at Safari Country last week! 🦘🐐🐢 We met all kinds of amazing animals and even got an extra-special treat when a tortoise, lionhead bunny, baby goat, armadillo, and baby kangaroo came right onto our bus! Talk about bringing the wildlife to us! It was a truly un-baa-lievable day filled with smiles and laughter.

ALH Menomonie had a wonderful time celebrating the Sunshine Learning Center kindergarten class with a fun Back-to-School Party! We were excited to gift the class new school supplies to help them start the year off right.

We celebrated with a delicious pizza party complete with breadsticks, salad, ice cream, cookies, and watermelon! We also watched a movie, played games, and were treated to some wonderful songs from the kids.

We wish all of our kindergarten friends the very best of luck as they begin this exciting new adventure. Have a wonderful school year!

Ryan Herman put on quite a show for ALH Mondovi and Hillview! 🎶 With 53 people in attendance, it was an impressive turnout—and what a fun crowd it was!

The music was great; the company was even better! It was wonderful to see family members joining in for a fun after-supper show. There was plenty of singing, smiling, and good old-fashioned fun. When Ryan played “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” everyone joined in! That sing-along was the perfect way to make an already wonderful evening even more memorable.
