Passed away on October 23, 2026.

Stephanie was predeceased by her husband, Gene Klurfeld. She was born on August 1, 1932, to Nathan and Geraldine Routman, in Sharon, Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her daughter Leslie Klurfeld, son Michael (Wendy) Klurfeld, grandson Taylor Klurfeld and brother Frank Joseph Routman.

Stephanie's commitment to her family and generosity to others had no limits. This is where she placed her unlimited energy and focus.

She will be missed every day.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dusanka, whose love and care over the past decade meant so very much to Stephanie and the entire family.

In addition, the family would like to thank Kathy, Christina, Karla, Valone, Susan, Jonathan and Ricardo for their unlimited support.

Stanley Kritzik, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026, in River Hills, Wisconsin, at the age of 96.

Stan was born on January 9, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, to David and Teresa (nee Rosdeitcher) Kritzik. His family moved to Minneapolis and then to Milwaukee when he was a boy. He graduated from Shorewood High School and earned both his bachelor’s degree and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. During the Korean War, he served with the 32nd Division of the National Guard.

Stan had a rare gift for seeing what was coming before others did. He joined his brother Robert at General Merchandise Company, which their father founded in 1938 and which became one of the nation’s first mail-order companies. In the 1950s and ’60s, when a computer filled an entire room with tape drives, Stan led the work of computerizing and automating the company’s catalog inventory. It was a truly revolutionary effort for its time, and his belief in what computers could do for business stayed with him throughout his life. When General Merchandise was sold to J.C. Penney in 1962, it became Penney’s catalog division. Stan went on to work for J.C. Penney and then IBM before helping to found an apartment construction and management company in Milwaukee. That company grew into Metropolitan Associates, which today manages more than 4,000 apartments.

LaVerne Koltin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born on December 13, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, LaVerne was the cherished daughter of Jack and Mildred (née Lorber) Gerstein. A first-generation American, she grew up with her sisters, Beverly, Sharon, and Arlene, together known as “The Gerstein Girls.” She worked in her father’s grocery store, often getting up at dawn.

LaVerne was smart from the start. She attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison and later completed her studies in psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. An excellent student, she was a skilled mathematician and also spoke and wrote Yiddish beautifully.

LaVerne married Cy on December 21, 1952, and together they built a beautiful life and raised three children. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of six grandchildren, who were her greatest pride. She and Cy loved spending time with family and friends, watching sports, traveling, and ballroom dancing together.

LaVerne was passionate, determined, and a natural leader. She was a tireless worker and a realtor for 47 years, including her time with Head and Seemann, Federated Realty, and Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Steven Lane Hersch,
Of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026 at the age of 75 surrounded by his loving family. He was a beloved brother and uncle whose presence will be deeply missed.

Steven was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 4, 1951. He was gregarious by nature and never met a stranger, always willing to strike up a conversation with anyone he encountered. He loved nothing more than playing cribbage with his family, watching nightly wrestling, cheering on his Packers, and enjoying an early morning cup of coffee—whether it was at the JCC or meeting the regulars at the River Point McDonald’s.

For many years, Steven proudly drove his niece and nephew to all of their activities and became known affectionately as “Uncle Steve” by all of their friends. He was a familiar and dependable presence in their lives, and those memories will always be cherished. Steven persevered through many challenges in his life and continued to find joy in the people and things he loved.

Steven spent his last few years in North Carolina surrounded by his family and resided at Waltonwood Providence Senior Living. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the wonderful caregivers who watched over Steven and helped make his final years comfortable and meaningful.

September 4, 2026, age 89, of Bayside. Loving wife of Bernard "Bernie" Davidson. Dear mother of Jeffrey Davidson and Nancy (Joel) Winston. Adoring grandmother of Ryan, Leigh, and Brianna Davidson; Nicole and Andrew Winston. Treasured great-grandmother of Jacob and Leila Davidson. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Charlotte was born in a tiny town in upstate New York called Schaghticoke. Her parents Leah and Sam Cohen raised her and her sister Phyllis and her brother Stanley in a country hotel. Charlotte met her true love Bernie at the age of 18 while on a double date. After three months, they got married and moved to Alaska, where Bernie served as a first lieutenant in the army, while Charlotte worked as a registered nurse.

Besides being a nurse, Charlotte was a life master bridge player, and a revered bridge teacher in her community. Her intellect shined through all of her endeavors, whether it was playing bridge, other games, or knitting sweaters for her loved ones.

Charlotte was a selfless woman known for her sense of humor. She always put her family before herself, and was most proud of her children Jeffrey and Nancy.

Graveside services 10 AM Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Mound Zion Cemetery, 14510 W. North Ave, Brookfield. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.

Died peacefully on August 18, 2026, at the age of 99. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Irvin Becker; her parents, Dorothy and Herbert Heilbronner; her in-laws, Bessie and David Becker; her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Barbara Heilbronner; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Pearl Becker and Marvin and Jean Golper. Margie was the devoted mother of Ann (David Muschler), Joan (Michael Friedman), and Jim (Polly Freeman), and the proud grandmother of Daniel and Steven Muschler and Nate and Lidet Becker. She is further survived by her dear nieces and nephews and their families, as well as Jonathan and Tracy Friedman, Andrew and Christie Friedman, and their children.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Congregation Sinai, 8223 N. Port Washington Rd. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 2615 W.
