The holiday season is a time for giving, but at the Mercy Medical Center Merced Foundation, it’s also a time for impact. We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Festival of Trees is officially underway, with a mission that hits close to home: supporting our Surgical Services Department.
We often ask ourselves how one person can truly make a difference in local healthcare. The answer is simple: through your passion, your creativity, and your generosity.
When you donate a basket, design a stunning tree, or sew a beautiful tree skirt, you aren’t just creating holiday decor—you are helping provide the tools, technology, and support our surgeons need to perform life-changing procedures. You are helping your neighbor, your friend, or a family member receive world-class care right here in Merced.
We are looking for hands and hearts to help us reach our goal:
Tree Designers: Share your creative vision by styling a tree that will become the center of our holiday celebration.
Crafters & Artisans: Whether you quilt, sew, or craft, your handmade stockings, tree skirts, and decor bring warmth and comfort to our event.
Wreath Makers: Put your signature touch on our holiday wreaths.

Nearly four years ago, Mercy Medical Center Merced Foundation took a bold step by providing seed money to launch a specialized Obstetric Emergency Department (OB ED). Today, we are proud to celebrate the success of that vision!

The OB ED is now fully operational and serving our community 24/7. Because of that initial investment, expectant mothers in our region have immediate access to board-certified obstetricians and specialized care the moment they walk through our doors—no matter their medical history or prior relationship with an OB/GYN.

From the first seed planted by our donors to the life-saving care provided today, we are so proud to support the health of our local families. Thank you to everyone who made this vision a reality!
