What should a good physical therapy evaluation include? 👇
Your first visit sets the tone for your entire recovery.
A strong evaluation should include:
✔️ A detailed conversation about your symptoms
✔️ Discussion of your goals and daily limitations
✔️ Movement assessment (not just where it hurts)
✔️ Strength, mobility, and functional testing
✔️ A clear explanation of what’s going on
Most importantly—you should leave with clarity.
Not confusion.
Not guesswork.
Not vague instructions.
You should understand:
👉 What’s contributing to your symptoms
👉 Why it’s happening
👉 And what the plan is moving forward
Good physical therapy isn’t just about treating pain.
It’s about understanding the full picture and giving you a clear path forward.
