Listening to your body doesn’t mean you can’t push yourself. It doesn’t mean being comfortable all the time. It DOES mean that you’re in constant communication with a foundation of respect and care.

When your body feels like a place you'd rather escape than inhabit, pushing harder is not the answer.

I mentioned in one of my last emails that it's easy to feel like you want to run away from your body. But here's the thing: pushing is often another way of running away.

Sometimes we push through our endless to-do lists, prioritizing productivity over all else, and ignoring every signal our body sends us.

Other times we push harder to fix ourselves. To optimize our wellness, perfect our routines, or control every variable. Ironically, still ignoring our bodies in the process.

Both of these scenarios leave your body feeling like a little kid that just wants to be heard.

It speaks softly, then louder and louder until it's screaming at you. Because it just needs your attention.

So what if, instead of pushing through, you paused?

If this was your friend sitting across from you, you wouldn't scroll your phone while they were talking. You'd stop what you're doing. You'd turn towards them. You'd make eye contact. Maybe you hold their hands. You'd ask if they wanted your help fixing the problem or just your support.

Your body deserves the same kind of presence.

So this is me giving you permission (if not a prescription) to slow down.

Take one full breath before rushing to the next thing. Go for a walk because you want to not because it's good for you. Sit in silence for 5 minutes. Ask your body: “what do you need today?” and then be willing to listen.

This is simple work, but it's not easy, so if you'd like support, I'm here.

Whether you need a quick reset, a private session, or a deeper immersion away from the noise, I have the space for you.
