Dry needling is honestly one of the most satisfying tools I use in my practice because the relief from muscle tension can be almost instant. But I always want people to understand that it works best alongside a full treatment plan, not instead of one.

I wrote a new blog post breaking down how dry needling works, what to expect after your first session, how long results typically last, and what affects how many sessions you might need. If you have been curious about it, this is a great place to start.

If the front of your legs hurts after running, you have probably heard the term shin splints thrown around. But shin splints is actually a catch-all term that can mean a few different things, and not all of them are treated the same way.

Some causes are pretty manageable with rest and activity modification. Others, like a tibial stress fracture, need attention sooner rather than later.

I put together a full breakdown of what can cause front leg pain with running, how to tell the conditions apart based on your symptoms, and what treatment looks like. Check it out! :)

If you have been dealing with hip flexor pain during or after your runs, you are not alone. It is one of the most common issues runners run into, and it is often more connected to what the rest of the body is doing than people realize.

Weakness in the core or hamstrings can put extra demand on the hip flexors over time. And when the load exceeds what those tissues can handle, that is when pain shows up.

I put together a full breakdown of what causes hip flexor pain with running, how to tell if that is actually what is going on, and what treatment looks like. Check it out! :)

Hip flexor pain can sideline your training if ignored. Learn what causes it, how running form plays a role, and when to see a PT.

So much changes during pregnancy that it can be hard to know what is worth paying attention to. Heaviness, pressure, or a bulge in the va**na are not things you just have to push through, and they can be signs of pelvic organ prolapse.

In my latest blog, I walk through how pregnancy affects the pelvic floor, what early signs of prolapse can look like, and how pelvic floor PT can help you feel better and prepare your body for birth. You do not have to just endure discomfort during pregnancy.

Hearing the words pelvic organ prolapse for the first time can feel overwhelming, but understanding what is actually happening to your body can make a real difference.

In my latest blog, I break down the different types and stages of prolapse, what causes it, and what treatment can look like, including what to expect from pelvic floor PT and when surgery might be the right conversation to have with your doctor.

If any of this sounds familiar, I hope it gives you some clarity and a place to start.
