⭐️⭐️⭐️30th year ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Back-to-school day at Holy Child Program! 🎉📚

On Monday morning, the HCP staff and our building were scrubbed, polished, and eagerly waiting to welcome our students back for the 2026-2027 school year.

The kids did not disappoint! Lots of happy reunions as friends from last year found each other in seconds. Others arrived with their game-face on, ready to hit the classrooms and the books. 😁

Dear Friends of Holy Child Program,

🏫 As a new school year draws near, we are hard at work preparing our school to welcome the children back.

👇We want to share what’s been done, and what’s still underway, so you can see the difference your support makes.😍

🛎️The large meeting room starts the school day. It is the heart of our school. It’s where all our students gather as one community each day. The old, worn carpet was torn and impossible to keep truly clean. It has now been replaced with new flooring that is healthier, easier to maintain, and gives the whole room a bright, updated feel. 🤩

☀️ We are also connecting our solar water system to the electrical grid. While it will not supply full power, it is an important step. It lowers costs and every bit of savings matters. 💡🔌

🍽️Finally, we are enlarging the kitchen. It would be wrong not to emphasize how vital this space is. In a time when our students’ families face high unemployment and skyrocketing food prices, the kitchen is a lifeline. It runs all day, every day, preparing hot, nourishing lunches for every child.🧆🥙

😮‍💨The work is not easy. Costs are high and needs are urgent. Yet, we must steward this building we now own, well into the future. Thank you for standing with us as we tend to this sacred ground. Because of you, our children will return to a school that is ready — not just with renovations, but with so much love and support.🔨🪚

Every repair and upgrade is more than just maintenance. It reflects our commitment to investing in our permanent home for our mission "Hope Through Healing." 💫🙏

Chef Coco Favorite Chef Competition-

Chef Coco made it to 2nd place in the semifinals. First place was needed to continue on to Finals.

We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts 💞 who voted;which helped her get as far as she did!!

Though she didn’t win the competition - she won in so many other ways! Coco helped create new awareness and spread HCP’s mission

In the new school year and beyond we will optimistically look forward to this new community of supporters and followers of Holy Child Program 💞

The Holy Child Program has received an exciting, and unexpected opportunity to receive funding. And, you can help to make it happen!

Coco Csi, a chef in Vancouver, British Columbia is competing in Carla's Hall's Favorite Chef event and has announced that if she wins the competition, she will donate her $25,000 winnings to the Holy Child Program!

The Favorite Chef is a popularity contest and chefs win by receiving the most votes online. Individual voters are allowed to vote once a day for free. They just need to log in to Facebook to complete the process.

Today was Graduation day and it was pure joy. 🎓

It was a wonderful day for the HCP mission- Instilling Hope through Healing. ❤️‍🩹

Despite class time being disrupted for a good length of time this year, our students and teachers persevered. Through online learning and regular check-ins from staff, students and their families tended to their studies like a garden — watering what was planted, trusting in the season of growth, and finishing the year with gained confidence and personal growth.

We celebrated 7 graduates who are now moving on to further their education. Their tenacity and “intelligence of the heart” inspires all of us.

To every student and teacher: thank you for your grit, your grace, and your faith in the work. You remind us what is possible when we walk together, care for one another, and keep learning no matter the obstacles.
