I am now a Sarga Bodywork Practitioner!

Sarga is a barefoot myofascial massage. In this session I use a fabric strap attached to a board under my mat. This length of fabric helps me to deliver therapeutic myofascial and deep tissue techniques with my feet. It also is used for stability and to add tensional and gravitational force to manual therapy methods. This aims to facilitate deep relaxation and less restrictions in your body.

Myofascial Bodywork focuses on fascia, which is a white fibrous tissue encapsulating red muscle fibers. Thus fascia is a connective tissue that plays a crucial role in the body's structure and function. Because it is highly innervated it has a direct influence on the nervous system.

By targeting the fascia with these techniques, the goal is to have a significant impact on the nervous system. This approach can be particularly effective in stimulating the Parasympathetic Nervous System response, which is the rest-and-digest state or the body. This facilitates a deep sense of well being and relaxation.

I am so excited to share this new modality with Meridian and Mississippi. Currently there are only TWO of us certified in this unique work!

* To receive this work you must not have:
Bone density problems
Heart problems
Kidney issues.

Must be able to get on and off the mat by yourself*

This is a 90min service
