The first days and weeks at home can bring a lot to manage: medications, pain, mobility restrictions, incision care, new equipment, and the question many clients and families find themselves asking:

At Peak Elite RN Concierge, I provide private, in-home nursing support for clients recovering from orthopedic and spine surgery. My role is to help you follow your surgical team’s recovery plan, recognize concerns early, stay organized, and feel more confident as you heal at home.

The first 72 hours after surgery determine more than most people realize.

In the hospital, patients are surrounded by monitoring, trained staff, and immediate response if something changes. Then they go home — and that entire safety net disappears overnight.

The first three days post-discharge are when:
– Pain is often at its worst, but medication schedules are new and easy to get wrong
– Early signs of infection, DVT, or wound complications are easiest to catch — and easiest to miss
– Mobility guidance from the surgical team is hardest to follow accurately while managing pain and fatigue
– Families are the most exhausted and the least equipped to know what's normal versus what's not

As a post-op ortho and spine concierge RN, this window is where I focus the most attention with clients. Not because every case is high-risk, but because this is when close, informed monitoring makes the biggest difference — and when a trained eye can catch something early instead of after it becomes a bigger problem.

For surgeons and care teams, this is also often the gap where readmissions originate. A dedicated RN presence in that first 72 hours can be the difference between a minor issue managed at home and a trip back to the ED.

Happy Birthday Mama 🌻❤️. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad 🎉🥰. This was a good day, it was their 50th wedding anniversary.

Every day, I reflect on the blessings of having you both in my life, and I am filled with gratitude for the lessons, advice, adventures, and love we all shared.

Though you are deeply missed, your legacy lives on in our hearts. Today would have been Mom’s 83rd birthday and Mom and Dad’s 65th wedding anniversary, a testament to the power of enduring love.

I may not understand but I trust in God’s plan, knowing that eternal life and everlasting love await all of us.

Your love has created a lasting impact on all of us. Celebrate big with Abba and the angels.
We will be reunited again but until then, know you are deeply loved and missed.
