šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø As our beloved Old Glory begins to show her age, it’s time to give her a dignified and respectful rest.šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø
There is something deeply moving about watching a worn, tattered flag properly and respectfully retired. It’s a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedom and the enduring unity of our nation.
We invite you to bring your worn American flags to be properly disposed of in this time-honored, solemn tradition.
Let’s come together to honor the symbol of our country with the reverence she truly deserves. ā¤ļøšŸ¤šŸ’™
Please feel free to drop off your flags in advance at Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes Hwy 39N location, at the Scout Hut located at 2102 8th St Meridian, or bring them with you on the day of the event.

Brenda Gay Elliott McHann

Brenda Gay Elliott McHann entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in New York after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Brenda was born in Texas on March 3, 1950, to Dale La Rue Graves and John Graves. She grew up in Mississippi, graduating from Newton High School and later earning an associate degree from Meridian Community College. She worked as a dental hygienist until her retirement.

She was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, and loving grandmother. She was known lovingly as ā€œMimi" to her granddaughters, Collins and Rielle, a role she cherished deeply. She was very loving of her family and friends.

Brenda was proceeded in death by her parents, Dale and John Graves.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bob McHann; sons, Doug Dearing and Danny Dearing; daughter, Nikki Harrison; granddaughters, Collins and Rielle; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Ed McGraw, along with her extended family, her stepdaughter, Rhonda McHann Neal and stepson, Jason McHann; and special sister in-law, Pat Tyus.

Brenda and Bob were active members of Northcrest Baptist Church of Meridian.

Brenda had a deep love for travel. She and Bob shared an adventurous spirit and cherished unique experiences in their many travels throughout the United States and abroad.

Brenda also found much pleasure in growing flowers. She loved the beauty and bounty of an array of potted plants and blooming flower beds.

Brenda’s earthly journey has ended, but she knew her ultimate gift to her life would be her heavenly home. When she heard God say, ā€œwelcome homeā€, she was given peace and healing.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Brenda’s honor to The Baptist Children’s Village, Post Office Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060, Northcrest Baptist Church, 3412 N. Hills St., Meridian, MS 39305, or to your favorite charity of choice.

Grief doesn't follow a timeline. It isn't a straight line, and it rarely disappears completely. Instead, it transforms, shifting from an overwhelming presence to a quiet reminder of love.
It is okay to hold both pain and love at the same time. Whether your grief is quiet or loud today, please know you are not alone on this journey.
We are committed to supporting you long after the funeral service is over. We invite you to explore the "Grief" tab on our website. It is filled with articles, videos, and support guides intended to offer comfort and practical guidance when you need it most.

ā“Why did we choose an angel for the top of our columbarium?ā“

We had several (several!!) options to choose as a symbol for our cremation columbarium.

So why an angel? Well, we would love to explain!

They are protectors šŸ›”
When Daniel was thrown in the lions' den, an angel shut the lions' mouths (Daniel 6:22). We believe in giving our families who choose the columbarium a safe, secure place, and we love knowing that, just as God sends angels to protect us in life, He will give us angels to watch over us on holy ground.

They are divine messengers šŸ”Š
An angel delivered the news to Mary of Jesus's birth and God's plans for her (Luke 1:26-38). For anyone who visits our columbarium, we hope that they will feel the presence of God's promises, which He delivers to us through His winged agents.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: They embody eternal life ♄
"Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14). We believe that our gardens are places where memory never fades, and we believe in the hope of seeing our loved ones again. Our angel reminds us of this hope every day!

If you haven't seen our beautiful angel, please come by. We would love to give you a tour of the most beautiful perpetual care park in Meridian.
