Monarch Behavioral Health LLC Expert care in individual, couples, and family therapy. Embrace your journey with us Hello, my name is Jodi Anderst Keuhey. See more info about PCIT below.

I opened Monarch Behavioral Health in Meridian, Idaho in 2013. Monarch Behavioral Health is a growing group of clinicians providing excellent outpatient counseling to individuals of all ages as well as counseling for couples and families. We specialize in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and provide numerous other exceptional approaches to help our clients thrive. Also please visit our website at www.monarchbh.com for more information about who we are and what services we provide. PCIT is a proven, evidenced-based practice. For a therapist to be trained in PCIT, they must have a master’s degree in a mental health field and complete a year long post-masters training in PCIT. PCIT is a parent-child treatment program that assists parents of children with behavioral problems (aggression, non-compliance, defiance, and temper tantrums). These behaviors may be related to attachment issues, trauma, ADHD/ADD, oppositional defiant disorder, adjustment issues…PCIT is a unique treatment program that focuses on promoting positive parent-child relationships and interactions while teaching parents effective child management skills. The therapist “coaches” the parent behind a one way mirrored window while the parent and child play. With this model, the parent can practice the skills until they have reached mastery. PCIT typically lasts from 14-20 weekly sessions. Each session lasts approximately 1 hour. PCIT program has two program components. The first half of PCIT consists of the Relationship Enhancement component. Parents are taught and coached how to decrease negative aspects of the relationship with their child and to develop consistently positive and supportive communication. The second half of PCIT consists of the Strategies for Compliance component. Parents are taught and coached the elements of effective discipline and child management skills. Parents learn and acquire specific skills, practice these skills until mastery is achieved and the child's behavior has improved. We take most insurances including Idaho Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield/ Aetna, Cigna, Select Health and more. We also have a sliding scale available based on income and household size.

Finding a therapist is personal. The right fit matters.
People come to counseling with different experiences, personalities, goals, and reasons for seeking support. That is why having a team with different backgrounds and approaches can be so helpful.

At Monarch Behavioral Health, our team works to help adults, teens, and families feel heard, respected, and connected with care that fits their needs.

Not every teen will say when they are having a hard time.
Sometimes it shows up as being more withdrawn, less motivated, more emotional, more tired, or just not seeming like themselves. Those changes can be hard for families to understand and even harder for teens to explain.

Counseling can give teens a supportive place to talk through what they are feeling and help families feel less alone in the process. Monarch Behavioral Health is grateful to support teens and families through difficult seasons.

Fall routines can be a lot to manage.
Work, family schedules, school calendars, relationships, and everyday responsibilities can start to feel heavy, especially when you have been trying to push through on your own.

Counseling can be a place to pause, sort through what has been building up, and feel supported in a way that is private and personal. Monarch Behavioral Health is here for adults who are ready for that next step.

The school year can bring a lot of feelings for teens, even when they seem to be handling things on the outside.

New routines, homework, friendships, activities, social pressure, and family changes can all add up. Sometimes having a safe, supportive person to talk with outside of everyday life can make a real difference.

At Monarch Behavioral Health, our team is here to help teens and families feel heard, supported, and connected with care that fits their needs.

There are often a lot of practical questions that come with starting counseling: insurance, scheduling, availability, what the first appointment will be like, and where to begin.

Those details can feel like one more thing to figure out when life is already stressful. Our front desk team works hard to make the process feel more welcoming and less overwhelming for people in Boise and the surrounding area.

Everyone deserves to feel supported as they take that first step.

Sometimes life feels heavy for reasons that are easy to explain, and sometimes it does not.

You may be managing work, relationships, family responsibilities, stress, or a change you did not expect. Counseling can be a space to slow down and sort through what has been building up.

At Monarch Behavioral Health, we are proud to support adults from Eagle and nearby communities in finding a little more clarity, balance, and support during those harder seasons.

The start of a new school year can bring a lot of feelings for teens, even when things seem fine on the surface.

Parents may notice more stress, changes in mood, trouble sleeping, less motivation, or a teen who just seems more withdrawn than usual. Having a steady, supportive person outside of everyday life can make a real difference.

Our team is grateful to support teens and families in Meridian through difficult seasons with care that feels thoughtful, private, and personal.
