Melatonin tells your body it is nighttime.

But if cortisol is still elevated your body will not listen.

You need to lower cortisol first.
That is the step everyone skips.

The protocol I use with my clients starts with morning light, protein before caffeine, and a specific evening wind-down.

This is called the cortisol-melatonin seesaw.

When cortisol is high, melatonin cannot rise.
So you drag through the day and lie awake at night with a racing mind.

You do not have a sleep problem.

You have a hormone timing problem.

That is not a personality trait.

When your cortisol curve is broken it spikes at night instead of the morning.

So, you wake up wired and crash ALL day. This is one of the most common things I see as an RN and it is completely fixable.

Age is literally just a number.

My post-menopausal clients probably have more energy than you.

Because they are working WITH their body instead of trying to force it to do what you used to do.

Being in your 30’s means you cannot run off of caffeine and a bite of bread anymore. Your body can’t compensate anymore which is why it feels so exhausting.

You need to learn what your body needs and give it the support it is begging for.
