This Group is Designed for Parents who:
Feel exhausted, overwhelmed or constantly “walking on eggshells”
Struggle with guilt when saying no or setting limits
Feel manipulated, blamed, or emotionally drained by your child (16+)
Have difficulty maintainy health boundaries

Today we bring awareness to narcissistic abuse and the damage it causes.

Narcissistic abuse does not have to be perpetrated by someone with narcissistic personality disorder. It is a pattern of abuse, manipulation, coercive control and more. It keeps a person stuck in a pattern of subverting their own needs to meet the demands of the other person, particularly to avoid more abuse.

It can be perpetrated by either men or women.

If you have experienced this, you are not alone and you can build back a life of peace.

I found out that a client died last night and as I sat with the grief, I realized that we often don't talk about this part of our work, the clients who don't get out.

So I wrote this blog to honor my client, share the real vulnerable and ugly side of the work counselors do and share real research on why it is so hard for clients to leave and the dangers they are in when they try.

Please read and share with anyone who may need this information. It might just save their life.

Not every client makes it out. A therapist’s perspective on narcissistic abuse, loss, and the unseen emotional weight of walking alongside clients through trauma, survival, and sometimes death.
