🚌🎶 The wheels on the bus went round and round, all the way to Philadelphia! 🎶🚌

Our Aldersgate residents and team members hit the road for a day full of good food, great company, and a little old-fashioned shopping fun! ❤️

We kicked things off with a delicious lunch at Ronnie’s Steak & Grill, did a little bargain hunting at Jerome Tanks, and stepped back in time with a visit to the historic Williams Brothers General Store.

And y’all… we didn’t leave empty-handed! 😂 Our shopping bags were filled with goodies like hoop cheese, bacon, bologna, jellies, and boiled peanuts. We may have gone shopping, but we came home with enough Southern staples to stock a country pantry! 🧀🥓🥜

At Aldersgate, we believe the best adventures are the ones filled with laughter, fellowship, and memories made along the way. And if a few goodies make the trip home, well, that’s just the icing on the cake!

💕 567 Prayer Shawls, Nearly 20 Years of Love and Prayer! 💕

What began as a small prayer shawl ministry in 2007 has grown into a beautiful tradition of faith, fellowship, and service here at Aldersgate!

The ministry began at a local church in early 2007, with the first prayer shawls delivered on April 1 of that year. Around 2008 or 2009, the ministry expanded to Aldersgate to help establish a group here, and the fellowship was so special that the tradition continued!

For nearly 20 years, this ministry has brought ladies together almost every Tuesday evening to create beautiful prayer shawls for those facing illness, grief, hardship, or simply needing a little extra comfort.

Each shawl is lovingly handmade, prayed over, and blessed before being given to someone in need. ❤️

To date, the ministry has given away at least 567 prayer shawls! And that’s just the ones they’ve remembered to record!

As this wonderful ministry approaches its 20th anniversary in 2027, we celebrate the many hands, hearts, and prayers that have contributed to its beautiful legacy over the years.

What a blessing to see a simple act of kindness become a lasting ministry, wrapping hundreds of individuals in the comfort of God’s love.

Thank you to all the ladies, past and present, who have helped make this ministry so special! 💚

Today, we had the joy of celebrating our very own Brother Kenneth Owen for Pastor Appreciation Month! ❤️

We are so grateful for his faithful ministry and the love he shares with our Aldersgate family. A heartfelt thank-you to Alisha and Jamie for creating a beautiful video featuring messages of appreciation from our residents and staff!

Brother Kenneth, we love you and Mrs. Sue, and pray God’s continued blessings over you both!

We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Davey, Nancy, and Rick for their faithful ministry and the many ways they bless our Aldersgate family. We are so thankful for each of you! 💚
