I got to set up, walk around, play vibrational music, and just exist in the space last night 🥰

If it wasn't meant to be, then why does it look like it's meant to be?! (Unplanned color matching)

I cannot wait to share this practice with you! 🧘‍♀️💛

✨️Mindful Moment✨️

Yoga Sutra 1:14
dīrgha-kāla-nairantarya-satkāra-ādarā-sevito dṛḍha-bhūmiḥ

"Practice becomes firmly grounded when it is cultivated for a long time, without interruption, and with devoted, sincere effort."

Patanjali gives us four specific qualities needed to make any practice (abhyasa) truly stick and transform into a stable foundation (dṛḍha-bhūmiḥ):

🌿Dīrgha-kāla: Over a long period of time. There are no shortcuts or quick fixes. Transformation is a slow burn.

🌿Nairantarya: Without interruption; with consistency. Showing up regularly matters more than peak intensity followed by burnout.

🌿Satkāra: With serious commitment, devotion, and reverence—not just going through the motions.

🌿Ādarā: With genuine love and care for the process itself, rather than obsession over the outcome.

Where in your life are you building a foundation right now? Is it in your physical practice, a long-term project, a relationship, or an internal mindset shift?

Are you holding space for dīrgha-kāla (the long haul)? Are you possibly rushing the process or expecting rapid results from seeds that were only recently planted?

Notice how each root twists around obstacle after obstacle, spreading outwards to create a wide, stable base. It shows how strength isn't built in a straight line....it's forged by continually reaching down, adapting, and anchoring deep over time.

Firm ground isn't built overnight. Every quiet, consistent step (no matter how subtle or small) is directly constructing the foundation you'll stand on tomorrow.

There is a sacred Vedic teaching known as the "Honey Knowledge" (found in the Brihadaranyaka and Chandogya Upanishads), Madhu Vidya uses a simple metaphor to explain the deepest truth of the universe:

"Just as bees collect nectar from countless flowers to create one unified, sweet honey—where individual flowers blend together—the entire universe is bound by a sacred, mutual interdependence."

Everything in creation—nature, humans, and the cosmos—nourishes and depends on everything else.

The flowers need the bees to spread pollen.
The bees need the flowers to produce nectar.
The sun gives the energy to the flowers to grow. Nothing exists in isolation.

When we shift from an ego-driven mindset to recognizing our shared essence, we experience life not as friction, but as harmony, gratitude, and bliss.

You are not just a separate drop observing the world; you are an essential part of the whole cosmic web.

There will be a stick of honey on everyone's mat each class. A little piece of knowledge to take with you and remind you that you are part of something great. 💛🐝🍯

Full transparency and vulnerable post here but this week I've really been pushing myself to step out of my shell and expressing my passions is not always easy. I love yoga. I love everything about yoga and I'm not just talking about the physical aspect (asana) but the philosophy, wholeness, and connection of yoga.

Its actually funny to look back on but my very first introduction to yoga was waaaayyy back to Jilian Michael's Yoga Meltdown. The asana is the attractive part and in most ways the easiest part....believe it or not.

I keep wanting to validate myself with time, with experience, with certifications, and being able to do the "hard poses"...the imposter syndrome tells me I am not ready.

But here is what yoga tells me:

Yoga Sutra 1:
Atha-yoganusasanam
"Now, the discipline of yoga begins"

The teaching of yoga is NOW. Not yesterday, not tomorrow, not after my 500hr is complete, not when I can handstand...the present; now.

Inviting you here to share this space with me has not been an easy step for me. I will not be everyone's favorite yoga instructor. I probably will not make most people sweat. I'll fall out of order in my planned sequence. I'll probably say poses wrong. And I will most definitely mix up my rights and lefts.

I am not perfect.
I am awkward and shy (until I'm not).
I am caring and resilient.
I have been through things that have really made me question "why".
I will sit with you.
I will hold space for you....because yoga is more to me than movement. (But we will do that too 😊)
I too am just a soul who is searching for peace and purpose.

So if that is the type of practice you are looking to explore, support, or enhance, I just may be the instructor for you.

🛑 Scrolling Checkpoint 🛑

Before you rush into the next task, pause for just moment with me. Just one breath.

Notice your feet on the ground.

Relax your jaw and the space between your eyes.

Soften your shoulders.

You don't have to earn a moment of peace....it is always available to you.

✨️Today's reflection✨️
"What can I let go of, just for today?"

Take one slow inhale.
Take one long exhale.

Now continue your day with a little more presence than you had a moment ago. 🐝💛

"Sthira sukham āsanam" — A steady, easeful posture. (Yoga Sutra 2.46)

This teaching reminds us that strength and softness can exist together...not only on the mat, but in everyday life.

Before the day asks anything of you, take a moment to come back to yourself.

Let's do a breathing exercise together. Sit in a comfortable seated position with a straight spine. Close your eyes. Inhale slowly to the count of 4. Pause for a beat. Exhale slowly to the count of 6. Pause for beat. Repeat this 5 more times.

✨ Affirmation: I move through today calm, with purpose, and an open heart.✨
