We’re excited to host the Voices of the Valley Book Festival at Apollo Sunrise Center in Newburyport on November 14 & 15!

This weekend is about so much more than books. It’s about celebrating the incredible talent of our local authors and speakers, discovering new perspectives, and connecting with the people behind the stories.

Come meet authors, enjoy inspiring conversations and speaker panels, explore books across a variety of genres, and support the creative voices in our community.

Whether you love to read, enjoy writing, or simply appreciate the power of creative expression, we would love to see you there!

Bring your friends and family! All are welcome, and there's something for everyone to enjoy.

It was wonderful to welcome Maureen Brown, founder of Ask the Advocate, to the BevCam studio for an inspiring conversation about helping families navigate special education, understand their children's needs, and find the support and services they deserve.

Maureen's journey began when her own child faced challenges in school. What started as a mother's determination to get the right support grew into more than 23 years of helping families navigate special education and advocate for their children's needs.

We talked about the emotional challenges parents face, how to feel more confident and prepared during IEP meetings, and why no parent should have to navigate this journey alone.

Through Ask the Advocate, Maureen helps families understand all their options when planning educational services and support for their children. From evaluations and IEPs to specialized placements and planning for life after high school, she empowers parents with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions.

I loved Maureen's message that every child has potential worth fighting for and that parents have more power than they may realize.

I'm excited to share this meaningful conversation with you!
