💵 Cash Is King at Mobile Massage of Hillsborough County!

While we love the convenience of cards, cash is still our preferred method of payment — and here’s why it matters:

✨ With cash, 100% of your payment supports your local, independent massage therapist
✨ No cut goes to big banks
✨ No cut goes to card processing companies
✨ Every dollar stays right here in our community

When you pay with cash, you’re not just paying for your massage — you’re directly supporting a small, local business (that’s me!). 🌿

Book your next mobile massage session at KristenAllenLMT.com and consider paying with cash — it really does make a difference.

“I don’t want to “download the app” to pay for parking. I don’t want to “create an account” to see a menu. I don’t want to “provide feedback” on a 30-second interaction. I just want to exist in the physical world without a digital leash.”

This post hit me - I wish I had the OP to tag, but …

Is anyone else completely over it? 😩

Some days it feels like we’re expected to trade our privacy for basic conveniences—and honestly, it’s exhausting.

That’s one of the reasons I run Mobile Massage of Hillsborough County LLC the way I do.

🤍 No mandatory apps.

Relaxation shouldn’t start with creating an account.

Technology has its place—but not everything needs a login, a portal, or another company collecting your information.

Tag someone who’s also tired of the digital overload, and follow if you’re looking for a simple, more human approach to self-care. 💙

Did you know you can enjoy a professional massage without ever leaving your home?

One of the biggest reasons I started my mobile massage practice is because I know life gets busy. Whether you’re juggling work, family, chronic pain, stress, or simply want to relax in your own space, I bring the massage table, linens, music, and everything needed for a personalized session right to your door.

Every massage is tailored to your goals—whether that’s reducing muscle tension, improving mobility, easing pain, or simply taking time to recharge. I believe massage should be a safe, comfortable, and individualized experience where you can truly unwind.

I proudly serve clients throughout New Hampshire with professional in-home massage therapy. If you’ve been putting off self-care because getting to a spa feels like one more thing on your to-do list, let me bring the wellness experience to you.

I’d love to help you feel your best. Learn more or request your appointment here: KristenAllenLMT.com

Impressive! The more you know… 🧠💆‍♀️

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I’m constantly amazed by how interconnected our bodies truly are.

Did you know that fascia—that incredible web-like connective tissue wrapping around every muscle, bone, organ, and nerve—is one continuous structure from head to toe? When it gets tight or restricted (from stress, posture, injury, or daily life), it can create pain and tension far from the original spot. That’s why targeted massage that releases fascial restrictions doesn’t just feel good—it restores mobility, reduces pain, and helps your whole body move and feel better.

If you’re looking for massage that actually finds the tension and releases it, look no further. I specialize in therapeutic work that goes deep (but always comfortable) to get results.
Mobile massage in your home, office, or hotel — convenient, professional, and effective.

🦋 The Sphenoid: The Keystone of the Skull

What if your TMJ pain, headaches, uneven eyes, dizziness, neck tension, or even balance issues weren’t isolated problems?

What if they were all connected?

The sphenoid bone sits deep within the center of the skull. It’s often called the “keystone” of the cranium because it articulates with nearly every other cranial bone and helps support the eyes, jaw, and many important structures of the head.

When the body experiences trauma—whether from birth, falls, accidents, orthodontics, concussions, emotional stress, or years of compensation—the fascial system surrounding the sphenoid can become restricted.

Because fascia is continuous throughout the body, these restrictions can influence far more than the skull.

✨ You may notice:
• TMJ pain or jaw clicking
• Facial asymmetry
• Headaches or migraines
• Neck pain
• Visual strain
• Balance or coordination challenges
• Poor posture
• Nervous system dysregulation

In John F. Barnes Myofascial Release, we don’t chase symptoms.

We look for the restrictions that may be creating compensation patterns throughout the entire body.

The body is brilliantly designed to adapt. But compensation isn’t the same as healing.

By gently releasing fascial restrictions, the body often finds greater alignment, improved movement, and a renewed sense of ease.

The symptom is rarely the whole story.

Sometimes the answer isn’t where it hurts—it’s where the body has been protecting itself.

💜 Healing begins when we stop treating the body as separate parts and start honoring it as one connected system.

Have you ever noticed one eye sitting higher than the other, jaw tension, or chronic headaches? I’d love to hear your experience below.

Deposits are required for appointments. 💚

I know this can sometimes give people pause, so I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Some clients are completely comfortable with it, while others feel hesitant — and I want to understand why.

What would make you feel more at ease? More personal communication beforehand? A quick phone call? I also offer video calls so we can connect and build rapport before you book.

I completely understand that trust takes time.

For context: preparing supplies, packing, and driving often takes 30–90 minutes before I even arrive. A deposit helps protect that time investment and allows me to show up fully prepared for you. It’s sometimes half the service total, and sometimes as little as $20.

No judgment at all — I’m honestly looking for feedback so I can serve my clients better.

For many years, fascia was thought of as simply the body’s connective tissue—a supportive network that surrounds and connects muscles, bones, nerves, and organs.

Today, research suggests fascia is much more dynamic. It contains cells that can respond to mechanical forces and changes within the body, making fascia an active area of ongoing scientific study.

Stress, repetitive movement, inactivity, injury, and inflammation may all influence how fascia feels and functions. Many people describe sensations of stiffness, tightness, or restricted movement, even when there isn’t a specific injury.

Massage therapists don’t diagnose fascial conditions or claim to “break up” adhesions. Instead, manual therapy may help promote relaxation, improve comfort, support healthy movement, and reduce the perception of muscle tension. Researchers continue to study exactly how these effects occur.

Slow, sustained manual techniques are commonly used because many clients find them relaxing and helpful for improving their sense of ease and mobility. While the precise physiological mechanisms are still being investigated, therapeutic touch may influence the nervous system and contribute to an overall feeling of well-being.

Fascia remains an exciting area of research, and our understanding continues to evolve. As massage therapists, our role is to provide safe, evidence-informed care that supports relaxation, movement, and overall wellness within our professional scope of practice.

Massage therapy is intended to support general wellness and relaxation. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. If you have persistent pain, swelling, or other medical concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare provider.
