Additionally, there is slight risk of excessive rainfall across the area with scattered instances of flash flooding possible.

Scheduled road closure this weekend Merry Hiil

There is a planned weekend closure of NC-45 starting at 6:00PM on Friday June 26, 2026 that is expected to be last until 6:00AM on Monday June 29, 2026. NC-45 will be closed between SR1502 Jamestown Rd and SR1500 San Souci Rd for the replacement of multiple crossline pipes, shoulder and slope reconstruction and guardrail installation. Local, residential traffic will be able to utilize the closure up to the point of construction. Thru-traffic will be directed onto a signed detour from NC-45 to SR1502 Avoca Farm Rd, to SR1540 Old Merry Hill Rd, back to NC-45.
