The second of my three mentors died last night - in Biblical language, he was "transported from glory to glory!" My father, Ron Durham, laid the foundation of who I am today in many, many ways. My second mentor, Don Finto (still active in Caleb Ministries) ushered me into spiritual maturity. And the third, Al Ells, for over 25 years taught me by teaching and even more by modeling, what it means to integrate professional mental health services into a Christian worldview. Through the hundreds of counselors that he has influenced and shaped, tens of thousands of lives have been enriched, even redeemed! Mercy graces to his remaining family and all of us friends.
