‼️If you’ve been struggling with "mystery" LOW BACK PAIN or stubborn hip stiffness, your psoas might just be crying out for help!
Sitting deep within your core, the psoas muscle is your primary hip flexor and a frequent culprit behind chronic lower back pain, hip stiffness, and poor posture.
Because it connects your lumbar spine to your inner thy, I must use specific, careful techniques to safely navigate abdominal structures and release this hidden tension.
The psoas (pronounced SO-AS) is the ultimate powerhouse of your core. It connects your lower spine to your thigh bone, meaning it works hard every time you sit, walk, run, or stand up. Because it sits deep behind your abdominal organs, a tight psoas can pull on your lower back, causing that nagging ache you feel after a long day at your desk.
🤔 So, how can I safely access and work on it? Here is what to expect during a session:
➡️ Precise Placement & Gentle Navigation: I will have you lie on your back. I will work slowly and communicate as I apply gentle, angled pressure near the inside of your hip bone (ilium), carefully bypassing abdominal organs.
➡️ Active Release: You might be asked to gently take a deep breath or slowly slide your heel down the table. This active movement helps release the deep muscle fibers without needing excessive force.
➡️The Result: Better posture, deeper breaths, freer hips, and massive relief for your lower back!!
