When should you look into ABA for your child? 💙

If your child needs support with communicating their needs, daily routines, learning new skills, or behaviors that affect their safety and everyday life, it may be time to explore your options.

Every child is different, and finding the right support begins with understanding their individual needs.

At Valley Pediatric ABA, we work with children and families on meaningful goals that build communication, independence, and confidence.

Meet your BCBAs at Valley Pediatric ABA! 🍓💗

But what exactly is a BCBA?

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a highly trained professional who helps understand why behaviors happen and develops individualized ABA treatment plans to support each child’s unique needs.

Our BCBAs work closely with our RBTs and families to:
✨ Assess behavior and identify areas for growth
✨ Create individualized treatment goals
✨ Teach communication, social, play, and daily living skills
✨ Review data and adjust treatment as your child progresses
✨ Supervise and support RBTs
✨ Collaborate with parents and caregivers

At Valley Pediatric ABA, our BCBAs — Andrew, Mitchell, Mackenzie, and Lauren — help guide each child’s care while making sure their program is personalized, supportive, and focused on meaningful progress. 💗

The feeling when it’s time for supervision 🤍

What is BACB supervision?

For RBTs, supervision is an important part of maintaining their certification and continuing to grow their skills. Under BACB requirements, RBTs receive ongoing supervision from a qualified supervisor, such as a BCBA.

Supervision can include direct observation, feedback, reviewing client programs and data, practicing ABA strategies, problem-solving, and opportunities for continued learning.

At Valley Pediatric ABA, supervision gives our RBTs and BCBAs dedicated time to collaborate, strengthen clinical skills, and support quality care for our clients. ✨

A little BTS from our staff meeting last week! 💙

At Valley Pediatric ABA, we hold staff meetings regularly to make sure our entire team stays connected, informed, and on the same page.

We use this time to review policies and procedures, talk through ways we can continue improving, recognize our amazing staff for the work they do, and of course make time for a few fun games together! ✨

Creating a strong, supported team helps us continue providing the best possible care for the children and families we serve.

What is an RBT’s role in ABA? 🤔

Lauren breaks it down simply:
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works one-on-one with children to help them build important life skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

RBTs follow individualized treatment plans created by a BCBA and focus on:
✨ Teaching communication and social skills
✨ Reducing challenging behaviors
✨ Reinforcing positive behaviors
✨ Helping children gain independence in daily activities

They’re the ones on the front lines—making learning fun, engaging, and meaningful every single day.

If you’ve ever wondered who is working directly with your child during sessions, it’s your RBT 💙
