This week we began our first 'Antique Show & Tell' in the round. Residents shared family treasures and told stories about the items. We learned so many funny and fascinating things about our friends! Aggie's plaster Virgin Mary 'stolen' from Germany, Bill's handmade sleighbells from his workshop in Minnesota, and Tony's inherited pocket watch were just a few of the things passed around in the circle. The craziest story was the one Marlys told us about her grandmother's brother in South Dakota who made a table out of a horse's legs he had buried upside down! We were so entertained, we're already planning the next gathering. We're going to meet every other month with new items and tales to tell. See you in October!

Helen Keller once said, "Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows. It's what the sunflowers do." Painting sunflowers brings sunshine to our Las Palomas painters' hearts and souls! This has been a glorious month of painting together every Monday afternoon. We gave National Julienned Fries Day a healthy makeover! 🥕✨

Instead of fries, our Memory Care residents celebrated with fresh julienned vegetables and a lively discussion about colors, textures, flavors, and healthy eating. Everyone enjoyed discovering new favorites while sharing laughs and conversation around the table.

Every performer dreams of having a loyal fan club. 🌊🧜‍♀️

Our theater group was excited to cheer on one of their favorite performers, Brianna, during her role in The Little Mermaid at Hale Centre Theatre. As the granddaughter of our very own resident Jane, Brianna has captured all of our hearts over the years, and we've loved watching her shine on stage.

One of our favorite traditions is waiting after the show to say hello and congratulate her before heading home. We can't wait to be back next month to cheer her on in Catch Me If You Can!

100 years. One unforgettable celebration. 🎉

Today, our very own Golden Girl, Betty, celebrated an incredible milestone—her 100th birthday!

Her family arrived early to decorate the dining room, creating the perfect surprise before breakfast. As Betty walked in, she was greeted by smiling friends and neighbors who stopped by to wish her a happy birthday, making her feel like the queen of the day.

It was a beautiful morning celebrating a remarkable woman who has touched so many lives. Betty, as your new coffee mug says, "For the 100th time...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" 💛🎂

Santa traded his boots for flip-flops. 🎅🩴☀️

More than 70 residents and family members gathered for our Christmas in July celebration, complete with holiday carols, homemade Christmas cookies, cold lemonade, and a special visit from Santa himself. While the temperatures outside topped 110°, inside it felt like the holidays—without the shopping, wrapping, or stress.

We'd have to agree with one family member who said, "Christmas in July is the best idea!"

A little taste of Paris—right here in Arizona. 🇫🇷

As part of our month-long celebration of French culture, residents enjoyed lunch at Café Paris, where savory and sweet crêpes were the stars of the menu. The Crêpes Suzette quickly became a favorite, and the afternoon was filled with delicious food, great conversation, and plenty of joie de vivre.

Merci beaucoup, Café Paris, for the warm hospitality!
