Feeding my first baby was really hard. I had him 23 years ago, so it was before it was really a functional Internet, and I did not have many resources to rely on. One of the best things that ever happened, was that I learned to trust my own intuition and my own mom-gut.
My second baby was born three years later, and with some experience under my belt I felt incredibly confident going into my next feeding experience. Little did I know that my second child was sent to me with the purpose of teaching me never to feel too confident about my parenting skills😂😂
Following my intuition, and leaning into Baby wearing and co-sleeping because they just made sense to me were the best things that could've happened.
doing all those things on my own, because I did not have any family less than a few thousand miles away was absolutely the hardest part. I would absolutely rethink doing that if I were to do life over.
