I filled four glasses with sugar this morning.
One contains the total amount of added sugar I recommend for an entire day.
The other three represent popular drinks and desserts being marketed this summer.
What surprised me wasn't the sugar content.
It was the messaging.
"Tastes Like Summer."
"Happy Tastes Good."
"Time for a Moment of Joy."
As a nutritionist, I understand why marketing works this way.
But I also think we need to be honest about what we're buying.
These products aren't being sold as sugar.
They're being sold as feelings.
And that changes the conversation completely.
Watch the video and tell me what you think.
